I love flipflops! I know people recommend Crocs, but I just don't think they'd be comfortable without socks & I really don't like socks in the summer. However, if it means no blisters, then I guess it's my best choice. I did, however, notice that there are now Croc flipflops available. Do you think these will work for WDW or are socks a necessity?

I wore flip flops when we went in April and so did DD's. We wore sneakers with socks the first day and my feet were sooooo hot. Had no problems with the flip flops. Packing them again for our upcoming trip!

After getting a bad blister with my supposedly "broken in" workout shoes, I switched to flips the last few days and did great. They were good quality flip-flops (not the cheapies), made by Nike. I think they're made of neoprene (the stuff that scuba dive suits are made of) and were extremely comfortable.

I have always wore flip flops and have had no problem. I hate wearing socks, especially when it is warm. I think flip flops are very comfortable, and I wear the cheap little flimsy ones ;)

Thank you! Those are exactly the answers I was hoping for! I do think I'll get a pair of the new Croc flipflops though b/c they're cute. Thank you for saying what I wanted you to! ;)

I also wore my broken in New Balances the first few days. My feet were so hot and then I got blisters after getting them wet from rain. I switched to the flips I brought for pool wear only and had no problems, I was completely comfy in them the rest of the trip!

I always think "what were you thinking" when I see people at WDW in flip flops. But then again I think that about flip flops in genral. I don't think things between my toes, someone steps on your heals and you have major between the toe pain! Also there isn't any ankle suport.

I did wear crocs (beach) all around WDW recenlty, along with DH and DD who had not problems. I guess a good pair of flip flops, just like a good pair of comfortable sandles can do the job (espcailly if it is hot.)

I got to tell you I found a was a new kind of "dis snob" when at WDW recenlty. The "where comfortable walking shoes to WDW kind." No heals, no dress shoes. Especailly to Epcot! ;) Always make sure they aren't new shoes. Where ones your feet are already comfortable in. :teeth:

I wore the "cheapie" flip flops (Old Navy) to WDW when we went in October. I originally brought them for pool only but one day while walking around in the parks I got so hot, so I switched to my flip flops when we went back that night. I was so comfy! I couldn't wear them all the time, but I was able to wear them often. You know yourself better than anyone else - if you're comfortable wearing them, go for it!

I wore my Teva Mush flip flops for a week in Disney and no problems!!!
They are the most comfy ones I have found!!! ::MinnieMo

ps. zoe even has a red collar too....too weird what kind of dog is yours? Ours is part beagle part dachsund (I call her my little weinerbeagle :rotfl2: )

Keep in mind folks, if you wear sandals or flip-flops at WDW, PUT SUNSCREEN ON YOUR FEET! Otherwise you could wind up with a very uncomfortable burn.

I am someone who wears flip flops from April-October and I brought mine with me to Disney. I wore my sneakers and like other people, my feet were so hot. I wore my flip flops one day and wish I hadn't. My ankles and shins were killing me by midafternoon. It was just too much walking with those things on. I won't even try it on our next trip. I recommend definately having a back up pair of sneakers in case your feet are killing you.

I have worn my Teva Mush flip-flops several times and they've been great! I'd like to wear them again next week when I go, but I'm afraid I might get cold. Go for it, if you are the flip-flop type! :flower3:

Can someone inform this old lady what "crocs" are???

Check out crocs.com to see what the shoes look like. I personally don't like the way most of them look, but think the flipflops are cute. I've never worn them, but most people (except those with narrow feet it seems) say that they are very comfortable. Hope this helps! :cutie:

Hi!

I wore old navy flip flops everyday in June & had no problems! But I live in them all summer, they are as comfy to me as bare feet. And all the walking didn't change that.
I think it depends on whether you usually wear them. If they are just
"beach or pool" shoes to you & they feel foreign, you won't too well I'd imagine.

HTH :wave2:

I Actually did not know what crocs were until last week, when I looked up the web site. Then the next day, I was in WalMart and there were a knockoff set right there. I must be lost in another decade. I could see both my DD's loving them because they have cool kids colors. I am not sure of myself, I will stick with comfy flip flops.
