Are ECVs allowed in food courts at the resorts?

I'm talking right inside where you get the food and pay for your meal.

I have seen them at POP and ALL STAR SPORTS. Kinda tight but they did it. Cast members help when they could . Hope this helps.

My mom uses an ECV down there and has taken hers into the food courts at Pop, POFQ, PORS, CSR, and AKL, so I would assume they'd be welcome at all of them.

They can't refuse to let you bring wheelchairs and ECVs. That would be a violation of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act).
Most of the food courts are pretty wide open spaces. They don't normally have the same tight queues to check out as the counter service restaurants do.
There are also CMs who can help you carry food - ask if they don't offer.

I use an ECV full time. Each WDW resort I stayed at had space allowance for mobility equipment. I also visited other food courts at resorts I wasn't staying at, and they were fine, too.

The only problem I have at the food courts, and it's not much of a problem, is reaching the beverage machines. They are set back on the counter, and it's a little stretch to reach from your seat. Happy to say, you are guaranteed to find a helpful guest or CM to assist you in just a few moments, with no sense of helplessness. It's actually a great way to start a conversation with other guests who are loving their visit just as much as you are.

For exiting/entering the food court from outdoors, if you aren't at an automatic door, a guest will come along to open the door for you in moments. So you don't have to worry about driving your ECV, juggling food/drink, and operating a door all at the same time. WDW is very accommodating for visitors in ECVs and wheelchairs.

Actually reaching the beverage machines at POP IMO is much easier than navigating the lines for ordering food. The beverage machines are out in an open are where you can mantain a straight path and just turn to your right or left depending on which direction you are facing to fill your mug. I don't thin it requires true stretching unless you are a tiny person. Now if you want to rinse you mug, I have found it is easier to get off the ECV to do that because they have situated. The mug rinse sinks on the corners. So they are tougher to reach. But POP's food court is pretty ECV friendly!!
