I have days left on my park hoppers from Disney World in Fla.
Can they be used in DL?
I am in the very early stages of planning a Left Coast trip.
Thanks!

Yes you can use left over park hopper tickets at Disneyland. Go to Guest Services to the left of the Disneyland (park) gates and they will assist you.

Thank You for your speedy reply!
I wonder if they would be good for CA?
I also wonder if you can hop?

I do not want to sound cheap or greedy...It would be great if you could...but I am very satisfied and happy that we can use them @ DL even though we bought them @ DW!!! :cool1:

What if you only have a water park left on your hopper?

I'm not sure what you future plans are but you can keep those Disney World tickets forever (even though they've updated with magic your way). I'm sure you technically "paid more" for them than it would cost you to just purchase new tickets for Disneyland.

If you have one theme park day on your WDW ticket left that will equal one theme park day at Disneyland or CA (not sure if they will let you hop) so if you paid the equivalent of $45 for one day at WDW, it's not bargain to convert it.

I wouldn't think you would be able to do anything with only a waterpark ticket. You might be able to use that as a "credit" at WDW towards a new ticket but I'm not even sure about that.

It isn't good for theme park admission at DL or WDW. You can use it
for water parks or Pleasure Island only.

IMHO, anyone who used WDW leftover days at DL is wasting money, unless one never plans on visiting WDW ever again. :)

Another thing to remember is that DL passes expire after 14 days (I think or something close to that) and WDW never expire. So if you convert them over to DL and don't use all the days they will expire and I don't believe they will convert them back to WDW.

This might sound stupid but here it goes. We have a WDW Annual Pass can you use that at Disneyland as well. I am sure I already know the answer to this but what the heck!

AP's are only good for the resort in which they are purchased.

Since there are no plus attractions/parks at Disneyland they have no use there.

I have a WDW hopper with 4 days left on it. I am only gonig to Disneyland and DCA for one day. I'd like to only convert one day. Is that possible? I don't want the rest of the hopper converted. Only one day.

thanks!

Yes, you can use one day of your WDW Hopper in exchange for a day at DL/DCA.

They will verify how many days you have and then "take off" how every many days you want to use and issue a new hopper ticket for that many days.

You can not however, convert a four day hopper into 4 single day hopper.

Thanks for all the info!
We originally bought (four) 5 Day Park Hoppers w/4 Pluses.
We have 1 Major Day and 3 Pluses left on them.
We have no future trips to WDW planned, so I have no reservations about using the Major Days and just hanging on to the pluses "just in case".

Thanks for all your help!

Disney is delighted to let you use never-expire park hopper WDW days at DL.

I wonder whether they will honor unused magic your way days at DL. I assume they will if they are never expire (and if they are not, you have to be moving pretty quickly to get from WDW to DL in 14 days.)

My guess is that they won't. I am also guessing that most people won't go for the unexpired option. I know I won't be if we make it there again. The chances of a third trip to WDW is not very likely. Heck, even a second one is only a 50/50 chance.

I actually think that WDW would love to have you use a never expire MYW ticket at DL. The value is much less.

But the neat thinga bout MYW tickets is that you don't have to decide when you buy the ticket. Suppose you are going to WDW for 7 days and plan to go to the parks for 5 days. You see that a MYW 7 day ticket is only $6 more than a 5 day, so you buy the 7 day thinking, "maybe I'll go to Epcot for dinner one night, and who knows, for $6 it's worth it."

But you end up only using your tickets for 4 days and now you have 7-day tickets that are about to expire. Now, by paying $55 you can ADD the never expire option, essentially purchasing a three day park hopper pass for future use for $55. When will you ever get that deal again?

I think you may be right that people who buy MYW tickets often won't get the never expire option, but for anyone who takes the time to learn about these tickets and thinks they might return, there are great options out there.

Just did it in Feb.

Took one day of my WDW 7 day passport that still had days on it an converted it to a one day park hopper for DL & DCA. You can now do this right at the turnstile. Go to the turnstile and look for a manager walking around (there is always one around) they will allow you to stand to the side of the line and they will go in and check your ticket and come back and tell the person at the turnstile to issue you a ticket for the day. I was told that they will be making it quicker and easier to do this with the anniversary coming up.

Best thing -TWICE this happened - they profusely apologized for taking too long (one time we had to wait 20 minutes) they apologized by not swiping our WDW tickets and issued us DL tickets!!!!!! There were four of us visiting that day and they gave us 4 tickets!

TALK ABOUT MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I spent twice as much once I was in the parks because I was in such a wonderful mood!

Don't miss Fantasmic!!! Get Balcony seats if you can and don't miss Blue Bayou!!!!!
