We're going to DL in April...spring break time. I know crowds are going to be horrible but are the restaurants traditionally packed like they would be in WDW? I had sort of wanted to stay flexible with our schedule and not make too many dining reservations. In DL, are dining reservations STRONGLY recommended like they are in busy times in WDW?

If you want a character meal, then yes. I would also say yes if you wanted to eat at the Blue Bayou, but that's not open for your visit. Most of DL's food offerings are of the counter/buffeteria service type and do not take reservations.

As the other poster said- if you want a character meal, then YES, make reservations. If you want to have flexibility, make a couple. If you dont make it to one I promise someone will be happy to take your spot! You dont pay until you show up, so its not going to hurt to make extra. There are plenty of walk up places in the park to eat. I do recomend eating at off times though- it will cut your wait time.
