Are Deposits refundable?

If we make a deposit on our room and DH is unable to get the time off....will we be able to get a full refund?

We had to cancel a room, actually two recently, and we got both deposits back.

Yes, you can get your deposit refunded as long as you cancel before your final payment is due (Walt Disney Travel Company) or 5 days prior to arrival (Central Reservations).

If have canceled recently with WDTC and CRO and both of my deposits have been returned. Just do it as soon as you know for sure that you can't go.

Something to remember: If you booked a package with Walt Disney Travel Company and it has trip insurance, your refund will be the deposit LESS the cost of the trip insurance. Insurance is non-refundable after you pay the deposit. If you booked with Central Reservations, this is not a concern.

I got my full deposit back from WDTC, including trip insurance. Don't know if someone made a mistake there, but insurance was not deducted from my deposit made. I just cancelled last week.
