Are deluxe resort CS much better?

I'm wondering if when we are at MKif it would be worth it to take the monorail over to Cont. Or Poly. Or GF for a counter service meal?? Thoughts?

I don't think CS is necessarily better at resorts... or at Deluxe resorts...

That being said...my FAVORITE CS meal has been at MK... Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.... Lots of Options, Entertainment, and the biggest best meal ever if they still offer the chicken ribs combo with mashed potatoes, green beans and cake.

In my opinion the Contempo Cafe @ Disney's Contemporary Resort has a more upscail menu then any of the Quick Service locations at the Magic Kingdom. However I also like eating at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe when I am at the Magic Kingdom, so you can't make a bad decision no matter where you choose to eat at.

TS is much better and worth the travel time to head to the Poly, Grand Floridian, etc. from MK. I wouldn't for CS, though. I think the CS options at MK are pretty good and it wouldn't be worth it to lose the park time due to the traveling back and forth.

I totally agree we LOVE the Contemp Cafe.

CS at the Poly is pretty good. And you can take your food outside and look across the Lagoon while you eat!

Poly is our "home" resort. We always try to stay there for at least part of our trip. BUT, the worst thing about it is the CS restaurant - blech!@!!!

We had dinner at the Contempo Cafe one night in February, and it was very good. The options were quite different from what you can get in the parks, and the food is a little more upscale. That said, we also had lunch in Columbia Harbor House in the MK and thought the food there was also very good. CHH is not "fancy", but it is good, especially if you don't want the standard burger-and-fries-type park fare.
