We are going to WDW next December and DD who will be 3 and really wants to go to a Princess breakfast princess: . No problem I have "plugged " in our dates and we can call for them 180 days in advance......YIKES!!! It is the same dates I will be in the hospital for surgery!!! How hard is it to get Askershus? Is is as hard as Cindy's. Do I have a chance to get a date a week after the 180 day window?
I will have to teach DH how to do the phoning....hanging up etc. I am so paranoid that I just keep thinking he won't be able to do it, I know he won't be able to do it!!! This really shows me how Disney Nuts I really am. I am not worried about the surgery I am worried about getting my DD to eat with a Princess........I am not telling my non-Disney friends about this. They would never understand!!!! They already think we over plan etc.......

Our travel agent was able to get us a seat at Askershus about 90 days out, and I've heard others say its easier than CRT...didn't try for CRT since it would have cost two TS on the dining plan so we'll take the chance on seeing Cinderella in the park

Thank you. I am going to start "Quizzing" DH on the proper reservation calling procedures! I am not worried about any other ressies, well, I am because we will be there for Christmas and New Years and I think those will be busy busy days.......oh well, we get what we get....

I'm curious about this as well. My suspicion was that upping the price of CRT should have reduced its demand a lot, and correspondingly increased the demand for character breakfast alternatives. Does anyone else have active data on this?

Havent tried for Princess Storybook or CRT for my next trip in June, b/c we have done both before, but we just booked our trip a week or so ago and were able to get 1900 Park Fare Dinner (character dinner with Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Suzy and Perla) with plenty of times available. When we went in August (during the free dining plan) we were able to get the PSB Breakfast about 2 months before; however, there were only one or two times left at that point. Good luck!!

We have PSB booked for our trip in April and booked it about 60 days out. Got it for the day I wanted and approximately the time even though we will be 14 people. They said we would have two tables. We leave March 31st and just about a week and a half ago I decided to try and make a couple of other ADR's, but since one was for Saturday April 1 and the other was Sunday (and during spring break), I really didn't think I would be able to get anything, but it never hurts to try, right? But I was able to get exactly what I wanted which was an 8:15 breakfast at Crystal Palace and a 1:30 lunch at 50's Prime Time.

We tried to schedule a trip for this week (canceled due to my daugther being sick).. anyhow-- we had 18 days to plan. No luck on CRT (of course) but we did get a 10:20 Princess Storybook Breakfast.

Rescheduled yesterday for week of May 6th... again- no CRT. We got a ressie for PSB for 10:40 this time-- I think this is the last seating, but it is better than nothing, I guess!

good luck!

opps, sorry-- I meant to say we have a 10:20 this time, 10:00 am last time. sorry for the confusion. jen

The rest of the family does not want to do Cindy's at all. We have done that before with our oldest DD who is now 14. We thougth we would try something different so we decided to do Arkershaus so DD could see Princess's which are her favorite!!! I will try my hardest but if we don't get them so be it. Ears4you who are Suzy and Perla? I have been out of the Disney Loop for some years now and now I have to re-fresh myself :rotfl: for this daughter? Thanks.

I think that the Storybook Breakfast is much easier to get seating for. For our last trip, I was SO excited to try to get tickets for CRT for my dd, who had her heart seat on it!! This was before I got addicted to the Disboards, and I was only relying on the info from the UG, which said 60 days. So, we woke up really early and got psyched to call at 6:57....only to learn that CRT had switched to 90 days (at that time), so of course, no luck. BUT, we had absolutely no problem getting the SB, which plenty of choices for seats at 60 days.

Go ahead and give your dh a course in how to get the CRT breakfast. If he knows how important it is to you, I bet he'll do his best. But rest assured that you will probably be able to get something the following week.

I think that CRT is much easier to get nowadays..so you may be able to get breakfast or lunch when you get back from the hospital.

Good luck. And don't stress over it. Everything will work out. And if, for some reason, it doesn't.....try 1900 Park Fare to meet Cinderella.

princess:

In November I called to get a ressie for CRT for Breakfast (I've never been able to get in). Because of days off, the soonest I could get in was May. I booked it. Has anyone done the dinner yet??

1900 Park Fare is a great idea!!! I just was sort of getting nervous because I am going to have to depend on someone other than myself to make the PS ressies........I need to learn to breath and let it go!!!! hee hee

Suzy and Perla are the girl mice from Cinderella. I've heard really good things about 1900 Park Fare and I'm going to try for a reservation there next time we go. I'm pretty sure Cinderella's only there for dinner, though.

We were there in February and I made reservations for Storybook and Cinderella about 40 days before. If you're going at the beginning of December when it's really slow I bet you won't have any troubles.

If you don't get it, try calling the day before, some people cancel 24 hours out... because that is the only way they can get their deposit back.

We did this with PS lunch. I got a reservation the day before.

Maybe I just got lucky, but I got CRT breakfast about 120 days. We decided to do a Disney trip so I called only for CRT since I hadn't thought about anything else. The first day I asked for was booked, my second choice they had one table left for us.

I then called at the 100 day mark for the rest of our ADRs and got everything I wanted including Akershus. I don't think people know about 180 days yet because the guidebooks still say 90, Just my thought... We'll be there May 27-June3 which I am assuming is somewhat busy. Good luck!

We got Akershus 30 days out from our trip during Spring Break. I was really surprised to get it on the Saturday that we did. I figured the weekends would be packed with people coming in. We leave in 9 days!!!

Seems Cindy's has gotten a bit easier since they upped the price and changed the procedure (pics with Cinderlla downstairs, etc)
For our July trip I got seating for 9 at 178 days. I called back a couple weeks later to change it to Breakfast for 11, changing day and time, and got it with no problem.

Last time around CRT was impossible, but I booked Askershus for 19 at 90 days.
