Are Children Allowed in the Rose and Crown Pub?

I have a weird question. My family likes to order the fish and chips in England, but the outside tables are often hot and full. We noticed on the menu, that the pub at the Rose and Crown offers the same thing. We wondered if it was possible for us to order there. Hopefully we could eat inside?! We were also wondering if anyone knew how many fish fillets are included in the Rose and Crown portion of the meal. I know that it is twice as much money, but I didn't know if we would just be paying for the atmosphere. Thanks for your help!

I can't answer your question on the portion size. But you can definitely bring children to the Rose and Crown. My DS (now 15) and I have had dinner there twice in the last three years. Great food.

However, keep in mind that if the tables outside are full, there won't be any space inside, either, especially if it's a hot day.

:eeyore: Yes you can bring kids and the portion sizes are enough for 2 people, you can also order a half order of fish & chips just like the take out window with no problem, my mother-in-law is not a big eater and that's what she usually gets.

Thank you to everyone who replied. It sounds like we have several options for getting the same food. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions. :) Something tells me the moods of our children will be the deciding factor. Thanks again!
