Hi with all the restrictions can kids still meet the characters and get autographs? Thanks.

Disney has "mini" parades throughout the parks each day with characters. You can also see characters from a far. They are on the upper level of the train station at various times. These times are not posted, so crowds don't form.

There are character meals going on now, with characters observing the 6 ft social distance rule.

No autographs . You can take pictures but you must abide by the 6 ft social distancing and mask requirements. There is no chance of getting close to the characters.

Looks like more dining with characters is beginning to open up. Hopefully, for the holidays, most of the character dining restaurants will be operating

Has there been any mention of Rapunzel / Ariel character dining returning for holidays? I know it would be socially distant but just curious. Our window opens on 10/30

What I think Disney Parks will do and not just Disneyland but WDW as well is that they will phase out the character meet and greets and limit them to appear in parades and shows. How children aren't allowed to talk to the characters and get hugs from the characters and get autographs now is just odd because Disney has taken an important part of the child's vacation out of the parks because that makes a child special at Disney Parks? And now that Disney Parks has done this to families and children due to safety concerns I wonder how many people are mad at Disney Parks for doing this to children? Because Character meet and greets are so fun to do and getting autographs is a wonderful treat for children and an autograph book is a wonderful souvenir of the magical vacation. If your children want to meet Disney characters they can do it at home and all you need are your child's plush Disney characters an autograph book from Michael's and then place the plush characters in different rooms of your house and have your kids walk through the house and when they see the character the plush character can "sign" their autograph for them and the wonderful and best part of this idea is that these are characters your children can hug all the time and is a really cute idea to do with your kids when you can't take a trip to the Disney Parks during this time

I'm not sure but I wonder why they didn't put up plexiglass and have Ariel in a "tank" while in mermaid form. It seems an easy solution that kids wouldn't mind. Pictures might be bad but they could've had some interaction.
