are certain resorts more toddler friendly?

We're trying to figure out which on-site resort we want to stay at with our 2year old. I think that the Wildnerness Lodge looks so cool. But not sure if it's in our budget. Any advice on the value and moderate resorts? Carribean looks like it's geared more toward adults.

Thanks in advance!

Your 2yo would probably love AS Movies or Pop Century. Familiar characters, everything bigger than life, bright colors, small kid areas and pools, and Andy's Room! LOL!! Seriously, we have stayed at ASMu and our smaller kids loved it and it was nicer than any cheap hotel outside the park.

We stayed at the WL with our 2 1/2 DD last October and it did nothing for her. The boat ride to MK was conveniant but We are going to try The Animal Kingdom Lodge with a Savanna view. I've read alot of reviews of how the kids love the animals.

We recently stayed at WL and AKL and my 3yo votes for AKL Savannah room hands down between those two. She loved everything about AKL. My daughter may be weird but she preferred riding buses to riding the boat to MK .

We stayed at CBR when she was 2.5yo and she loved it there too. The kiddie pool and the big pool were highlights as well as playing in the sand.

CBR is great for litle kids - they have so many quiet pools, and the sandy beaches with playground structures on them, lots of ducks and bunnies, etc. We haven't been for a few years (CBR was closed for renovations our last trip) so I'm not sure if they still have a playground on Parrot Cay, or serve kids' breakfasts with a pail and shovel though!

Most toddler friendly is on the monorail - not for the tots, but for the ease of getting them to what is almost always their favorite park. But it isn't in everyone's budget.

If you are going for moderate or value, they all have a lot of the same amenities. The moderate resorts have pool slides - but toddlers don't care. They all have kiddie pools and I think playgrounds. Moderates have a little more space in the room, which is nice. I've always enjoyed CBR (though I've never stayed there with kids).

If budget allowed I'd stay at a monorail resort for convenience in getting to MK, but we recently stayed at All Star Sports and our toddler and preschooler LOVED it! They absolutely loved the baby pool, playing around the big football icons, etc. and the food court had plenty of little-kid-friendly foods. The room was small but quite adequate, and our toddler just went nuts for the star-shaped lights above the bed! Monorail would've been really nice (great to be able to roll the stroller right on instead of having to fold it and carry it) but the bus service was just fine.

Next time if we can get a good discount we'll stay at a monorail resort, but if not we'll be more than happy with the All Stars or at Pop Century (which has a fountain that I know my tots would love to play in!).

I don't think you can go wrong. Have a great trip!
