Are Canadians Getting this

There is nothing about magicbands listed on the MDE app for me... but it just let be book fastpass+ for oneof our days (all the other days are showing open for reserving fastpass as well) I'm SO confused!

I'm really curious to know disney IT thoughts on when MDE will be up and running for us! When you spoke to them did they make any mention of that?

I asked The Tech department about that this morning. He said, he didn't know when Canadians would have regular access to the American site. He said the best thing to do is get the MDE app.
 
I'm still too afraid to take the plunge so I haven't yet ordered my bands or picked fastpasses, but I'm warming up to the idea.

Officially took the plunge!

I talked to someone in the tech department this morning. He said that I could go ahead and order the magic bands and book fast passes even though there was still a chance that I would not be a part of the testing. He said you must receive an email and not everyone from the test resorts would receive them.

But at least I'm ready, in case I'm one of the chosen ones!

I check into Pop the same day as you. It seems that Americans are getting the bands shipped to their homes, while Canadians are getting the bands shipped to their resorts.

I expect you'll get an email on Aug. 1st to invite you to test. Keep us posted.

Yeah my guy also mentioned the email. He said he was sending a request that I be sent one since he could see I hadn't gotten one. :)

My understanding is that if you are from Canada it will be automatically shipped to your resort.

Just checked, and ::yes:: bands are being sent to resort. So yay, now I don't have to worry about them getting here on time.
 
Anyone know which are the "test resorts"? We'll be staying at POFQ Aug 4-10, BC 10-19 and haven't received anything yet.
I have the MDE app on my phone and have my reservations set up and linked my AP vouchers (maybe that's why I'm not seeing anything about this yet - I have vouchers and not actual passes at this point)

Well that figures! We're staying at two of the hotels not testing. I guess I'll wait to hear all about it. We're back at Christmas so I'm sure we'll be using them then!

I ordered bands on Saturday, I know they will be shipped to the resort, but I'm sure I saw someone mention that they received a notification that the bands were active and at the resort after a few days.

I keep checking my status and it just says shipping soon. it's been five days now since I've ordered them.

I know people in the states have ordered their bands and two days later their bands arrive on their doorstep.

So Canadian testers, how long did it take to receive some kind of notification from Disney from your initial order of the Magicbands?

I got an e-mail saying the magic bands where shipped to my resort about 2 days after I ordered them. My magic band and my children's bands showed up as active on the My Disney Experience app on my my phone and my husbands showed up on his account as active.

Okay, thanks for the info. For me it says, "Your Magicbands are being processed and will ship soon." And I do have a confirmation number.

I'll probably call them later since it's been 5 days.

Thank you Chris. I already posted on the August fp+ thread that I called and was told that Canadians are not eligible for the test and it was a mistake that we were allowed to book fastpasses. So, I don't know what to think anymore.

Sounds like there is a lot of conflicting information. Makes me wonder if the IT techs really know what is going on!
 
Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that for this round of tests, you had to choose either regular fast pass or have everything on the magic band with no access to regular fast pass.

Do you mind if I ask if this has been your actual experience? Several people reporting live have said they were able to use both. I'm wondering if different people are having different experiences?
