Are Canadians Getting this

Theme Parks has a thread about them getting access to magic bands on MDE account any one here getting it too

I would love to hear if anyone is. The app tells me I have 5 Magic bands to manage and that I have only 5 days left to customize them. When I click to customize my ipad tells me the data supply has been interrupted. I am thinking this is because I am from canada and it's trying to access the US site? Maybe not?
 
I use Tunnelbear to access the American sight on one of my computers. I am traveling to Pop next month and I have pop ups to order my magicbands and I am able to choose my fastpasses (although I have not).

On my other computer, I can only access the Canadian website and there is no mention of magic bands or fastpass+.

Can you access from the APP or just your tunnelbear computer?
 

I use Tunnelbear to access the American sight on one of my computers. I am traveling to Pop next month and I have pop ups to order my magicbands and I am able to choose my fastpasses (although I have not).

That is very interesting... When are your travel dates??
 
We are going in August during the testing phase, but staying at Saratoga Springs which is not part of the test group of resorts, so traditional FastPass for us only!

In regards to the website, I also don't have access but I have the MDE app on my iphone. It shows we have magic bands/cards, but no option to do anything with them.
 
When I went to MDE it said I had 4 magic bands waiting to be customize and I had to confirm my mailing address. I found info in my account area.
I had to go to my profile first. I also booked some fastpass plus days as well.
We are staying at the Pop Century and we will be there Aug 18 for six days.

I just checked my MDE app that I have on my IPad. I had totally forgotten that I had this app. It says that I have until tomorrow to choose my 4 magic bands and customize and verify my mailing address. But I don't want to. I want to use plain old fastpass.

I hope I'm not forced into this once I arrive. :sad1:

I tried that to but when I go back and click magic bands I get a data supply interrupted message. Grrrrr....

I plan on using both fast pass plus and the old fast pass. We can still access the old system I assume. I think it is neat to be part of an experiment.

Are you sure about that? I was under the impression that for this round of tests, you had to choose either regular fast pass or have everything on the magic band with no access to regular fast pass.

I am not sure about anything. right now! from what I have been reading is that if you didn't receive an e-mail you are not part of the test and that the mb's are part of a computer mistake, there is a lot of confusion

Did you get an e-mail? I did not, so I'm hoping that my ability to customize my magic bands and choose my fast passes are just a glitch in the system.

I hope it works out for you so that you can use fast pass+ and regular fast pass though. :goodvibes
 
I have the MDE APP on my iPad and am staying at Pop 1 night, GF 2 nights, and YC 12 nights. I was able to order Magic Bands for both Pop & YC

Only glitch for me is that our APs expire 6 days into trip, and I have to renew. So system isn't letting me book ant FPs past AP exp date. I have to wait till my current AP expires to book FPs for the rest of our trip. :(

No I did not get an e-mail.
 
We are staying at YC late August and I didn't receive email but I see in the Disney experience app profile I have two days to customize our magic bands. I tried but got error message. Not sure what to do at this point. Keep the info coming! :)
 
Well, the error message did not go away so I set up tunnelbear on my ipad. Logged into MDE website (not the app) and was able to change the shipping address, customize the bands and it is showing them as an 'order' now so it sure looks like they are on the way. I could not select any FP+ because I have a room only reservation at Yacht so no valid tickets attached to the bands yet. We have UT tickets which I don't plan on linking right away. Probably wait until we check in at Yacht to do that.

I went to the MDE website using tunnelbear and it showed that my magicbands as customized and it was the colours I choose on the app. I could select FP+, but I am waiting for a day or so.
