Are bouncebacks always in the same year?

We go in August and would love to book for 2009, are all the bounceback offers only in the current year?

Anywhoo- no, for instance last September (2007) they offered the free DDP bounceback for September 2008.

Typically it seems the bounceback is for the following year. Not necessarily the same month, though. Like in August 2008, they may offer bounceback for next October for 30% off rack rates or something.

Go to the front desk and ASK. LOTS and LOTS of people that were there in Sept. 2007 didn't get flyers about the free DDP bounceback and were very very upset about it.

If you don't get a flyer in your room, ask about it at the front desk. It's rare that they don't try to get you to book another trip. They seem to have offers a lot.
