Are banks open today?

I understand that there is no mail service today, for Columbus Day. But are banks open?

Here is SoCal only banks and p.o. are closed...school is in session.

The bank I work for used to be open on Columbus Day, but there was very little branch business so they closed. Good for me because I get another day off - I don't work with retail customers anyhow!

It depends around here. The town I work in is closed, but all the other towns banks are opened.

PO is closed. All of the banks are open. City schools are open, county schools are closed for students only.

Where I live, Citizen's Bank branches in supermarkets are open today.
