Are attractions very competitive or somewhat easy to get accepted for?

It's my top choice and I was merely curious of how hard it is to get into. Also, any interview questions for attractions would be much appreciated! I have my interview in two days and I'm getting a bit nervous now!

My top three were attractions, merch, and QSFB in that order. Which of these will I most likely get if I'm accepted for an average interview? I mean, I plan on doing my best, of course, but I'm just wondering which of these they put most people into.

I'm really hoping for attractions - not banking on it, but it's what I've wanted since I was 12. I was wondering, though, if I have experience running operations in our local haunted house if that would help my chances? I've had 5 seasons of crowd control, long spiels, customer/crew safety, and running equipment/monitoring cameras. Should I bring this up? Or is that too much of a long stretch?

Attractions isn't as competitive as BBB or character attendant, but it is a very popular role. It all depends on your interview! I really, really wanted attractions, but my interview kind of sucked, so I got merchandise. Getting attractions isnt impossible though :) And your experience will totally help you get attractions! I talked about being a cashier for two years quite a bit, so me getting merch was pretty predictable.

Which questions did they ask you about attractions? If you don't mind my asking, that is. :)

I just did my phone interview and I felt like they were pushing me into Attractions a bit, which wasn't my first choice but is still cool.

Here's what they asked me.
  • How do I feel about memorizing long speeches, spiels, or public speaking?
  • How do I keep from getting bored of repetitive tasks?

I have worked as a ride operator before for Sea World so I feel like that really helped my case.

I just had my phone interview today and I thought that public speaking question was so random! But that makes sense now, because attractions was my second choice.

Thanks so much! I'm just trying to prepare myself for a broad range of questions.

I think my top choices, in no particular order, are Character Attendant, Attractions, and Custodial. As long as I don't get QSFB or FSFB, I'm good. I've worked with food at every real job I've ever had and I hate it so much.

Character attendant seems to be a familiar job for me because I work at Comic Con and Anime Los Angeles as a Talent Escort and Guest of Honor Liaison, respectively.

Attractions have always been especially inviting to me though, ever since the "driver" on The Jungle Cruise at Disneyland said "Roses are red, violets are blue, get out." to tell us that it was over. Being able to be creative with those kinds of things is great!

Custodial just seems to be great for interacting with guests. I've been told that it's a really great job if you want a lot of interaction with guests.

She didn't even ask me any attractions questions! Wah. She did ask me if I had any experience talking in front of big crowds.
