Are AP's Still Paper or Plastic Now?

I got the paper one......YUK!! And then to top it all off, I had activated my voucher at downtown disney and the lady put my expiration date a month short. So instead of being 11/12/04 she put it in as 10/12/04. So now I have to go back (AWWWW) and get them to fix it. We are going in May, otherwise I would have gone in Oct. instead. Or maybe get another trip in Oct. toooo!

Just got home last Monday and had DCherubs activated at guest relations and they are still paper!

Was it a full price NEW AP voucher or a renewal for a previous AP? If it was a renewal, they are backdated to the expiration date (plus one year of course) of the original AP.

Actually the material is more like Tyvek material :)

If the AP's are a laminated paper construction, do they work at Fastpass kiosks like the normal plastic passes?

They work at Fastpass kiosks.

We purchased and used our first AP's last month. I was really surprised that they give you something so flimsy to hold onto for a year. Seems to me that they should give you the same plastic passes as PH's. JMHO.

Just a FYI, not all park hoppers are plastic, only the ones you buy through Disney. The rest are just the same mylar that the annual passes are. They are not flimsy and I have yet to have a problem with one, I keep the AP in the little jacket that they provide and it still looks brand new at the end of the year.

Only passes purchased via Disney are plastic, the rest are laminated paper/mylar. They work in the fast pass machine quite well.

All of my APs have always held up with no problems. I am like Gail, I keep them in their little folders. I never have even seen any wear on them after the year of service.
