We have been on the deluxe plan for the past three years, and ate all TS together, so I haven't had to keep track of the different credits in quite some time. Now we will be doing the reg DP, and will be skipping and sharing some meals. Does Disney keep track of the kids vs adult credits on the bottom of your receipt, or do I need to keep track? Do they separate the TS vs CS credits on the bottom of the recept? I thought they did, which would make it easier than readding each day. We will be 2A, 1C, but with CS, might not all get meals at the same time.

TS credits are tracked adult/child.

Until all CS places have a distinct kids' menu, I would expect to see CS credit (and, for the same reasons, DxDP meal credits) lumped together.

Snacks are lumped together as well, as there's no adult/child distinction there anyway.

CS and TS credits are tracked separately. If you use TS credits, your receipt will show separate line items with your remaining child and adult TS credits. If you use CS credits, your receipt will show the total remaining pool of CS credits with the child and adult combined. If you use snack credits, your receitp will show the total pool of remaining snack credits. They won't show TS, CS and Snack credits on a single receipt. If you're at a CS location buying both meals and snacks you'll have to pay separately for the meals and snacks and you'll get the separate receipts showing the remaining CS and remaining snack credits.

Would the cashier be able to tell me how many kids, and how many adult CS left? Or would I need to go to the front desk of the resort? I have a really bad memory....like I can forget where I put something 5 min prior. I can try to write it down after each credit used, if I have to.

Nope. There is no electronic tracking of which types of CS meals have been purchased. It's up to the guest.

I always keep my dining receipts so I can compare my latest remaining credit total to my previous one. It's easy to just write on each receipt what breakdown you have remaining.

It does not matter what you use the credit on child or adult. On the card it list #adults and #child on DDP and you will only be allowed that amount in one transaction. If there is no kids menu then the kids get adult meals (ex. Casey's).
In a nut shell no need to keep track of what goes where. Pay attention to the reciept cause I was once charged 2x a meal so I ended up being short so I had to go to front desk to figure it out and get it fixed a safty to this would be as PP stated keep previous reciept.

Six posts have been deleted from this thread. Per Disney's written rules (check the DDP brochures) children's credits are to be used to purchase meals from a child's menu (unless the restaurant has no child's menu). Per the DIS Board's policy, further discussion of the possible misuse of children's credits will close this thread.

Thread is locked after a further three posts were deleted despite the notification in my last post.

If you would like to see the official Disney policy regarding CS credits for which a child's price was paid, please take a look at the printed DDP brochures. There is a link to one in a sticky thread on this forum.
