Are ADR's cancelled automatically if you cancel trip

If I cancel an upcoming trip and my ADR's are already made, will they be cancelled automatically or will I have to call to cancel them?

Thanks.

I'm curious about this too. When I saw that the new Waldorf Astoria was going to be newly opened during our November trip, the thought crossed my mind, "Oooh, wouldn't that be nice to stay at," but I quickly put it out of my mind as I didn't want to lose my dining ressies.

So a person who makes their dining ressies 90+10 can cancel their room reservation and still keep their dining ressies?

Not that I'm doing this! We have free dining at the WL and am in no way going to go off-site, but wondering if and why Disney would allow this. Seems like this little loophole could be abused if it's true that the ressies aren't automatically canceled? :confused3

I also thought that it was a strategy to check for better dining ressies at the 45-day mark due to people canceling their room ressies, which I am definitely wanting to take advantage of. :thumbsup2 But seems useless if all those people don't also cancel their dining ressies when canceling their room ressies? :confused3

Sorry for the long post. Just curious.

They do ask when you cancel your room if you have dining that needs canceled also. They will then transfer you over to get those canceled also.

We had a room reservation only for Nov/Dec and did just cancel that. I however am still going to Disney so I there for did not cancel my dining. I actually found better ADRs AFTER my 90+10 than I did the day I was able to book.

Yes they could do this to get the 90+10 advantage. Disney figures that there aren't that many people crazy enough to pay the $200 downpayment to gain the advantage. Obviously, they don't read DISboards!

Thank you for your replies.

I too have found a few better ressies after my 90+10. In fact, I changed one just yesterday. But there's a few, like LeCellier, that I doubt I can do better, even though I'm not completely satisfied with my 4:45 p.m. ressie.

Thanks for explaining how it works. :goodvibes

I had a late Le Cellier. Not good when traveling with a one year old. Tried every day for a month, and got a 5:25 ressie for seven people. Ate there week before last-as usual, delicious. Never say never!

Especially since if you do room only, you only have to pay for 1 night as a deposit. Value resort=$92ish....I am sure someone would pay that for an advantage:rotfl2:

Yay for you!! :cheer2:

Guess I'll keep trying, after all.

This will be our first time at LeCellier; it sounds so yummy! :thumbsup2

But don't you get your deposit back if you cancel before the 45 days? If you don't get it back, I agree that's CRAZY!! :lmao:

When we arrived at our hotel in May we discovered our travel agents had accidentally cancelled our booking ten days beforehand :scared1: . All our ADR's were still in place though :goodvibes
