ARDs: Is Le Cellier becoming harder than CRT?

Just been looking at some threads and its seems that Le Cellier is becoming the hardest restaurant to get an ADR. Do you think that it is the case of calling at 7am at 180 day mark and still not getting an ADR because of the 180+10 day rule?

I will be at WDW in Septmber and would like to do dinner there as I have never been, but I am not sure if there is much point getting my hopes up!

:sad1: :sad1:

If you can't get it at La Cellier, try Kona Cafe at the Poly. We've eaten there instead of La Cellier the past two trips.

I got my choice of times at LeCellier for our trip in March at about 50 days out. I think it really depends on when you're going. You could also try lunch instead of dinner if nothing is available at that time.

Hope you get exactly what you want!

My sister called for me at 7:10 am at our 180 day mark (I was on my way to work) Our time choices were 4:20 pm or 8:15 pm (so we took 4:20-- my kids are young.

We didn't try for CRT-- it's 2 meal credits on DDP. Instead, we're meeting Cinderella and family at 1900 Park Fare.

Of course, that's August. It may be a bit easier during slower times of the year.

I called for Le Cellier dinner on the 180th day at 7am. We are a party of 5. I had to get 2 tables of 2 &3 & hopefully they will be pushed together. We got a good time for us (5pm) but the 2 tables bug me since my kids are little & obviously can't eat on their own.

I called last week at 180 days out at about 8:15 a.m., I had my pick of times and chose 7:10 - we are a party of 4

We had this problem a few years ago when we took my mother to WDW (it made us a party of 5). When I started having problems with ADR's (I was calling (then) 90 days out for an early December trip), CM suggested  that I simply say 6 people (and then when you show up, say one person is not attending). Once I did that, I got all of my times (and did not have to deal with the nonsense of the split tables). Some here may consider this wrong  , but I was not going to play games with split tables - WDW should realize that not all families consist of even numbered units.

It seems to be pure luck. We love Le Cellier and booked it 3x for our upcoming 10 day June/July trip--all of which are dinners for a party of 3. The trip wasn't even planned until about 170 days out.

Don't give up hope!

Also - lunch is really good there. Last trip I could only get a lunch adr. I ordered a shaved prime rib sandwich (think that's what it was :goodvibes ) - it was one of the best things I've ever had at WDW. I've been craving it ever since!

Just make sure you call on the 180 day mark. I did and had no problem - got the time i wanted - 5:30 - then, changed my mind a few times and moved things around. At about 160 days out, the times were a little tighter - i was offered 5:20 or 7:20 only - party of 4.

Le Cellier has been extraordinarily popular ever since the advent of the dining plan and since they charged 1 credit for it (it's a decent 1 credit steakhouse inside a theme park, and Americans like steakhouses).

Some suggestions to score a reservation are: call as soon as the window opens to make reservations; keep trying for cancellations; try lunch; try early or late dining times.

If you're going in September - that's most likely the free dining period. Try to get your reservation ASAP. The restaurants fill up during that time.

I called at like 170 days out for our early/mid June trip and had a wide choice of times available. Not sure if it was the day I had chosen or that I called early enough for that time period.

When I called to make ADRs, I said to the CM, "I'll go ahead with the first one, because I heard it might be hard to get into." His answer was not CRT, but, "What day and time would you like Le Cellier?" I had not even mentioned the restaraunt. This was at 170 days out and for a party of five, I had to settle for a 2:40 lunch ADR rather than an early dinner. Somewhat disappointing.

We booked a last minute (well 3 months before) trip this year, and we have been trying for a dinner ressie there! I call every other day, and we are VERY flex with the times. We got ONE, but we had to be seperated for a party of 5. We took it! Then cancelled, b/c something came up for that day...we were HOPING we would get one together! I have still been calling just to check..BUT NO LUCK! We are now 15 days away, and don't have a ressie! The CMs all told me it's the "hottest" ressi now a days!

Grr we could not get a dinner ressie for the first week of June this year. We did however get lunch and we are going to give Marrakesh a try for dinner...man we are going to be stuffed that day:rotfl:

Yesterday I tried for Le Cellier for dinner April 26 or 27 and no luck. I had a few choices for lunch but opted to go elsewhere. We ate there a few years ago and it was very good.

Interestingly enough, Le Celier was the easiest restaurant for us to book this trip. I called 180 days out and got 6:00 without any problems. Now the rest of the ADR's were not as easy. I had to call back about Crystal Palace to get a time that was better for our schedule.

I do have to say that every time I've been to Le Celier, there's been at least one person in front of me who goes up without reservations and expects a table. My cousin was there for her honeymoon and there was someone doing just that. When they couldn't get a table for that evening, they told the CM that any time over the next five days would be good. You can imagine how horrified they were when the CM told them they were booked for three months. :scared1: That's why we crazy disney fanatics do things like call at 7 in the morning....or every other day until something opens up.

I am going to try for lecellier but if I can't get it, I am just going to do beirgarten.

If your experience with Marakesh is anything like OURS was- you better fill up at Le Cellier ;) LOL!

Called today and made ADR's for our August trip, we got Le Cellier for dinner. I asked for 7.30 and was given a choice of 7.20 or 7.40. The CM at DVC member services said that CRT was easier to get into then Le Cellier now. I was surprised to get in at CRT at all and he said it was ok for that one but Le Cellier fills up the fastest of all.

If you want to go, call ASAP and see what they have - you might be surprised.
