Has anyone ever been on this excurion? It sounds fun and not all that long...2.5 hours. If anybody has any info on this one let me know

We did it in january and really enjoyed it. There was a mixture of adults and children and everyone seemed to enjoy it. The ardastra garden is more like a zoo. The flamingos are roaming free and they even do a show with them.

We went to Ardastra Gardens on our last cruise. We didn't book the excursion through Disney though and instead just grabbed a cab and went ourselves. We had a great time! We are going back again in June and are thinking of making another visit!

The bus portion of the trip takes you to Fort Fincastle (you get a beautiful view of the downtown area and the ships in port), the Water Tower and the Queen's Staircase (which you walk down). The bus picks you up at the bottom. The staircase was really an interesting site. The area is quite vast. I highly recommend this tour!!!

The Ardastra Gardens tour portion was interesting. As a previous post has said. Besides the "Marching Flamingo's" which were amazing and the other zoo animals, they had a huge area which was caged in where these birds (paraketes?) fly around freely. You get to feed them and they sit an your head, shoulders, hands or arms. It's really is fun.

To top it off, at the end of the tour, they have this guy who has parrots that you can hold and they put a hat on you where they sit for photos.

Again, I highly recommend this tour!!!

I also like Swimming with the Dolphins at Paradise Island and the tour of the Atlantis including the aquariums. I for one don't mind Nassau. Next time, maybe the reggata racing excursion. If I had kids, the water slides at the Atlantis and the pools look really interesting. Always have a plan!
