is it worth the trip? I have never been to the Bahama's and not really excited about going as I know many friends who have gone to Nassau and said it is a tourist trap(grew up in Orlando, now live relatively close to Myrtle Beach, needless to say, I have had my FILL of tourist traps!). I planned on staying on the boat in port that day, but saw Ardasta(msp?) Gardens and Zoo and thought it might be fun to take DD who will be 5. Anyone been? Worth the taxi ride and day at the place? Thanks for any info given!

We had a great time at the zoo in Nov.....me, DH, my parents and our 3 kids (7, 6 and almost 5). It's not a whole day thing...maybe 3-4 hrs. The flamingos were fun but the best part for us was hand feeding the birds with apple slices. It was one of the highlights of our trip. They landed on our hands/arms and heads.....very funny and a neat experience.

I really wasn't looking forward to going....just something to do, but it ended up being a lot of fun. The cab ride was $4 per person.

Younger kids like it. My 5 year old son loved it! He was able to stand with the Flamingoes in the show and they ran around him. When we went there was hardly anyone there besides the group we were with. They also have an area were you can feed parrots and they land right on your arm (Or head LOL) We really liked it but they didn't seem to spend enough time there. We got some of our best pictures there!

How was the cab ride? Easy to find? Set price? Long ride? Etc.

Thanks!
Tammy
