Has anyone heard anything about possibly updating the arcade by the Meadow Pool? I would love it if they expanded it some. Add some new games and whatnot. What does everyone else think?

Actually, I heard they were going retro and replacing the present games with Space Invaders, Asteroids and Pac Man

I'd also love a Stargate pinball machine. :thumbsup2

In all seriousness I haven't seen anything about any arcade updating.

If they would put in a Battle Zone, I'd be a HAPPY camper!! I spent $38 to go into Disney Quest cause I'd never been, also heard they had a Battle Zone in there, NO DICE!! I was really disappointed in the place, so probably won't be back!!

(In my previous marriage, we had a full size Battle Zone in our living room!! I got REALLY good at it!!)

I doubt they'll update it, for the campground, it's a good size. Go check out the one by Crockett's Tavern if you want to see the smallest arcade on all Disney property...lol. Then again, you never know, maybe they will update it, heck, I wouldn't mind!

Although, I normally only go to the arcades first thing in the morning, so I'm sure during the days when the pool is full that it gets pretty cramped in there.

I want a full sized Battle Zone in my living room right now please :(

Unfortunately, it is no longer in working order, and my previous MIL can't find parts for it. That's probably what is happening to the "classic" games at Disney Quest, so I can't blame them too much.

However, the table model Space Invaders still works at her house and we still have boatloads of fun with it when we're there :-)

My wife bought me a Multicade for Christmas a couple of years back that has 48 games on it (PacMan, Galaga, etc) and having the full size machine is really a lot of fun. I then got the itch to try to find more games to make a "gameroom". I went to a couple of arcade game auctions here in Orlando and they had a BattleZone machine which I almost went for, but the video output was messed up and I didn't bid on it. The machine sold for $35 which i couldn't believe. SuperAuctions are the ones who host the auctions all over the country so you could likely find some parts if there is one in your area.

There was a time that the arcadess were the big deal for our son at Disney,,spend all that $$ for Disney, and he'd want to hit the arcades.:rotfl:

Denise bought me a "ATARI-FLASHBACK 2" a couple years ago.
It has,

Asteroids
Pitfall
Cantipede
Yar's Revenge
Maze Craze
Adventure
Pong
Missle Command
Lunar Lander
Outlaw
River Raid
Combat

and a bunch more. I think theres like, 40 games on it.
