Is there a DLR version of this WDW favorite? Sum of all Thrills?
Also, any acrade enthusiasts out there? Is there a favorite place for arcade games?

I know, I know. Going all the way to Disney to play video games? :scratchin That activity however, is one of DS13's favorite and this is his vacation also. He saves lawn mowing money for this since he knows I won't pay for it. :rolleyes2 Regardless, we all agree to happily participate in at least one of each other's favorite activities. (DD22 can't wait for
Animation Academy, so we're all planning on doing that too)

We will be there in OCT and without a car, so I'm hoping there are decent arcade locations within walking distance? Last year at WDW we did a twist on the hotel monorail tour by stopping at the various resorts to play a game (or two) at each arcade. He still talks about it!

As for my choice of activity?? I'm really kind of hoping the Disneyland Hotel has a decent arcade because I think us "adults" might enjoy a quick refreshment at Trader Sams! ::yes::

No SOAT. But there is Starcade at DL and a rethemed arcade near the Mad T Party at DCA.

I would recommend the Mad T Party arcade over the StarCade myself. The games there are more contemporary if memory serves.

I second that. We just got back last night and my kids DD17 and DD11 both LOVED Mad T Party arcade. I was surprised they enjoyed it so much.

I also really enjoy Sum of All Thrills. I'm hoping it comes to DL some day when they finally upgrade Tomorrowland.

This is good information. Knowing where the favored one or two arcade locations are helps us not waste time looking for places.

Bummer about SOAT, but no worries, we'll have plenty new activities to enjoy.

Thanks virtual friends! :thumbsup2

Thats Ironic. You would think the arcade that is in the "futuristic" part of the park would have the more advanced games. Seems like a theme of tomorrowland these days...

I you don't have a Dave and Busters near you then it's the ulimate. There's one at the Block, not too far away maybe 5-10 minute drive. The Block has a new name but I'm not sure what it is, there's lots of outlet stores and a movie theatre.
My DS15 loves it, we've been twice in the last week. Wednesday's are 1/2 price games. You can check their wbsite to see if it's the type of place you're looking for.

Oh! Oh! So right about Dave n' Busters! :woohoo: No, we don't have one in the entire state! Fortunately when we travel to visit family they have one and DS is in heaven to say the least.

Is this "Block" on the ART system you think? Not sure we'll actually tear ourselves away from DLR just for video games, but its good to have backup in case of unforeseen weather or similar non-magical events. ;)

You'll find a ton of Xbox Kinect games to play inside Innoventions, along with other technology-driven games. Disneyland Adventures is fun to play up there!
