Arabian Nights...Clear Channel 1/2 price, or Restaurant.com?

I'm trying to decide between the two of these options, and it seems they are about the same. My only problem with the Restaurant.com route is that it will actually be a party of 3 (myself, mom, and grandson who is 4 y/o). The Restaurant.com certificate states only for a party of 2. Does that mean only two people can go to the show in the same group with this certificate? I was planning on buying the ticket for my grandson separately, so I would only actually be using the certificate for 2 people. I called yesterday and got a vague answer from the A Nights place, so I'm still confused. The Clear Channel offer released today states a certificate valued at $50 for $25.

What's the difference, and does anyone have any experience with using the Restaurant.com certificates for this show?

Thanks!

I think we purchased ours from Ticket Mania. They delivered them right to our condo. Their price was around $27 if I remember correctly. It was a great show. My daughter absolutely loved it. In fact she enjoyed it so much, she didn't eat.

They have them on Clear Channel website. I would probably go the Clear Channel route.

The ClearChannel offer reads:
Purchase an adult admission for half-price, only $25!.....
Valid Toward 1 Adult Admission Per Certificate.

So, you'll spend $28.50(with shipping) for one adult admission thru ClearChannel. That's at total to $57.00 for 2 adults plus the full-price admission cost of $31.03 for a child. These are VIP admissions, according to the Arabian Nights website. Total Cost = $88.03

At Restaurant.com, you'll pay $3.00 ($1.80 if you use code 83500) for a 50% off certificate. But you'll then need purchase two adult admissions at half price and one child's admission at full price because the GC can only be used for two people. The venture would cost you $50.29 for the two adults plus $31.03 for the child's admission and $3.00 for the GC. Total Cost = $84.32

If you go to Ticketmania.com and order your tickets, you'll pay $27.50 per adult and $21.50 for the child for a total cost = $76.50. This includes all taxes and shipping.

I think that I would go with the Ticketmania tickets. It guarantees that you'll be seated together and it costs less than the other options.

Okay, thanks for your responses.

Webprinter, I'm hoping my grandson will love this show too. It sounds like lots of fun!

Mad4themouse, you are always such a great source of information! The only thing I don't understand about the Clear Channel tickets is, how can you tell those are VIP admissions? I couldn't figure out much from the offer except what you stated in your post about the price.

I might have been making a leap in assuming that since the Arabian Nights website shows VIP ticket prices as $50.29 and $31.03, these would be the ½-price tickets that ClearChannel refers to. General admission is $39.59/$20.33 (adult/child).

The restaurant.com website makes no reference to the ticket type that can be purchased with the 50% off GC.

Ticketmania.com refers to the gate prices for their tickets as being $50.29/$31.03 (adult/child) on sale for $27.50/$21.50.

I see now. Thanks so much for your research on this question!

What about this scenario?

I could use the Restaurant.com certificate for 2 adults, then buy one ticket from Ticketmania when we get there in a few weeks, or order beforehand. This looks like it will cost me about $71.79. The person I talked to on the phone this afternoon said I could use the certificate for only 2 people, but I could have more people in the group. The thing was, he reinforced that I could only use the certificate for 2. I'm thinking that I may go that route.

I think your plans to not use Clear Channel are the right idea. I don't think most people are aware of what they're doing to destroy entertainment as we've known it.

ON an unrelated - related topic, we already did the restaurant.com thing. Should we go for the VIP or not. At the pirates dinner adventure, we went for it, but in hindsight, we really didn't need to.
