Aquatica problems having a negative impact on seaworld?

From reading other forums such as the dibb, it seems that the overspill from Aquatica closing when crowded ( by 11AM:scared1: ) is having a massive impact on crowd numbers at seaworld as people are naturally heading to SW instead.
We're heading to SW on Tuesday ( arrive Monday:cool1: ) and it looks like we'll have to get there early - is 9am early enough? We've never parked at SW before, always taken the trolley so have no experience of how long it takes from car park to gate.
I'm undecided on visiting Aquatica, may possibly have a look on Thursday and take it from there .

It's not that far from the parking lot to the gate. At least it wasn't when we were there last July.
I am assuming the Aquatica has their own parking lot.

I wouldn't call this /negative/, but there surely is a crowd impact lately.

When Aquatica fills up and shuts their gates, the overflow does tend to spill over to Sea World. I backed out on an afternoon at the two parks a few weeks ago because after failing to get into Aquatica, I tried to go around the corner into Sea World and the line just to get into the /parking lot/ was backed up all the way to the I-drive / C. Fl Parkway intersection!

Great news for SeaWorld, as they're probably experiencing some great attendance numbers! Not so good news if you're trying to speed-visit the parks on a busy weekend.

But this can vary from day to day, so don't fret too much about it. The weekend after that crazy-crowded one, I had no trouble getting into either park.

I imagine that once the new-factor for Aquatica wears off some, the park crowds will thin down a little. =)

And yes, Aquatica has their own parking lot. It's a pretty small lot, not that bad of a walk.

At Sea World, I've noticed they've been opening the two lots across the street and tram'ing people across when it gets real busy. It's not too bad, though.. nothing like the distance you'd park at Universal!

=)

We went to SW twice this week - Monday and Thursday.
The start of each day was delayed because the shuttle from Royal Pacific didn't arrive on time (20 minutes late on Monday, 15 on Thursday) We didn't get to the park until after 10:45.
Both days the park was very busy by then, uncomfortably so.
Thursday morning was cloudy and windy and several families who intended to get off the shuttle at Aquatica decided to stay on and go to SW instead.
