Aquatica or Disney water parks?

We can probably only manage one water park in our short visit. For a family with 3 young kids are we best to go to Aquatica or one of the Disney water parks?

I think it all depends on what you want to get out of the water park.

Our family has been to all three, we like Aquatica but found it to be a bit small and limited however the rapid river was a blast. The lazy river was too small to really enjoy and nothing like the lazy river at Blizzard beach or Typhoon Lagoon.

We like Typhoon Lagoon for the big wave pool, tropical theme and the nice long lazy river. if we could only go to one water park TL would be it followed by BB and the Aquatica.

This was gonna be part of my recommendation too. Right now, Aquatica is the hot ticket but frankly I don't think it will last as it just isn't 'better' in my opinion; just new. If you aren't there when the gates open you risk being turned away. I suppose that happens at Disney too, but less often then AQ right now.

Rather than end up with anxious and disappointed kids in the back seat as you change plans for an alternate I'd go to TL....this time.

If the kids really really want AQ, buy tickets ahead of time and get there at least 30 minutes b4 the gates officially open. Note on the web pages that the gates are sometimes opened for those with adv tickets b4 the regular announced times....
