Starting Saturday through September 1, AQ will be open until 10:00 pm nightly (including weeknights)--two hours later than the original closing time, or in the case of late August, three hours!

WOW - they must really be getting slammed with people.

Maybe this will make it more feasible to go at 3 or 4 in the afternoon?

Already the low temps(reached at 6am or so)have been just below 80'F.

By summer it'll still be well over 80 at that time.Could be cool on the skin out of the water I suppose, but not too bad.imho

Also, the water is heated. Went last night, water felt great--of course, getting out that 70-odd degree air suddenly felt downright chilly!

:thumbsup2 I was there for a while last night, too!

I was impressed... by 6pm, when I showed up, they were letting folks in and the park was (relatively) empty. No trouble finding a beach chair by the wave pool, reasonably short lines (particularly for a holiday!), and pleasantly warm water! It did feel kinda chilly, though, when ya got OUT of the water... so I left around sunset and hit the night shows over at Sea World (which were also quite nice!).

Aquatica is definitely someplace I'll be hitting more frequently in the evening as the summer gets hotter!

=)

Agreed, least crowded I've ever seen it, even compared to opening. By 8:30ish, you could walk right on to anything, even Tazzie's Twisters and Dolphin Plunge. Had the rapids ride essentially to ourselves, maybe 20 or 30 people total in the wave pool. Made it worth the chilly moments.

Just got back from Orlando, and we went to Aquatica twice, both times after 6:00. We could walk on any ride we wanted, never a wait. This was definately the way to go. They did close the one wave pool ~7:30, but there were so few people it didn't matter.
