OK..we were there today .. here's the poop

Having passes we arrived a few minutes after 8 for the hour early deal. I was worried we'd be late based on our last weekend experience. There was no wait to park or to get thru the gate...parked and in, in less than 10 minutes.

I had no problem finding a shaded chair and sent the youngen's off their way. We met at lunch time for a 1 time pass thru AYCE. Still does nothing for me but the kids like it...and as they scarf a lot of mellon they wouldn't get elsewhere in the park I'll not argue. Changes I noticed: there is now ceasar salad...and plain white rice...and a chocolate cake/brownie thing. Still no chips or cookies.

I didn't think the park was very full but when we left about 3pm I noticed the parking lot was closed off by the Sheriff and there were people hanging out there "waiting to get in"????? Where we had pulled out of I spied at least a dozen empty parking spaces????

Hmm.

I can only guess that, while the parking lot had some spaces, the actual person load capacity of the park was full perhaps?

Or maybe they were waiting for more people to leave before opening up, so there were not accidentally too many cars let in than spaces available?

I notice they usually start admitting again at 4pm, so maybe they've just designated that as the re-open time, regardless of when parking opens up?



Just my speculations. =)

P.S. - BAH! No chips or cookies yet at Banana Beach? C'mon SW, we need starch & sweets!
