We are trying something a little different this trip, and we are going to be staying at the Residence Inn for the 2 days prior to our Disney check in. I can upgrade our tickets to include Aquatica and add the 14 day option on. Just curious if it will be worth it for our kids aged 3 & 6 ( and water loving!!).

Aquatica is great for kiddos who are 3 and 6 :) (or 39 :rolleyes1 ) .

There's a dual wave pool that's a ton of fun for all ages:

And a big 'ol sand beach for making some awesome sand castles:

TIP: buy one of the refillable popcorn buckets (about $5, with $1 refills) and the bucket has a specially shaped bottom that gives you the castle "points" (I'm not explaining that very well, but you can kind of see it here):

There's a special area (Kookabura Kove, I think its called) that's just for the tiniest visitors, with very mild features and shallow water:

Then they have an enormous interactive water play area with small slides, tipping buckets, and all sorts of neat stuff:

They have a very mild traditional lazy river with tubes that goes past a huge aquarium full of fish. Its definitely enjoyable by all ages:

Plus, the very best feature in the park , IMHO, is Roa's Rapids. Its a tubeless lazy river with a crazy fast current that is sooo much fun. Strap on a lifejacket (even adults....its most fun that way), pick up your feet, and GO!

Oh, almost forgot!

If your kids are into dolphins, the park features the teeny tiny, adorable Commerson dolphins. You can watch them from the viewing area, plus the trainers meet at the dolphin pool a few times a day for a little meet and greet where they show off their smarts (the dolphins, not the trainers ;) ... but I guess they show off their smarts too!).

And the "big kids" in your group can enjoy the feature slide of the park, Dolphin Plunge, in which you slide through a clear tube right through the dolphin pool:

I was thinking about going here...thank you for all of the pics!! It really helped to see what it is like! It looks awesome, I was trying to decide between this or one of the Disney waterparks. I think this looks so fun!!

We have some unused Disney plus passes, so our original plan was to hit Typhoon Lagoon during our August trip - but after seeing how lovely Aquatica is, we're doing that instead. My 12 year old loves thrill rides, and I love low key water parks, so this seems like a great compromise. We're both really looking forward to it. We booked the package which includes hotel, Sea World and Aquatica tickets, and 2 days of free dining, and the price was so great I still kind of can't believe it's legit, lol!

Aquatica is a great park :thumbsup2 . I don't think you'll be disappointed.

That was our first thought when we booked our Christmas trip! Its the best value in Orlando, IMHO :goodvibes .

Where did you find that package? We might do Discovery cove but still unsure...thanks!

Yep, found it right on Sea World's home page. I was leery of booking a package after reading the horror stories of the restrictive cancellation policies of Universal's packages - but these have incredibly forgiving cancellation policies and are simply an amazing deal. Our total for 5 nights, length of stay passes to Sea World and Aquatica, 2 days of free park dining, and free breakfast every morning at the hotel came to $572. I'm still in shock. It's cheaper than just my 3 night stay at Royal Pacific Resort!

Aquatica is good but doesn't have as many slides as wet n wild. Also the dolphin slide is abit poo and pointless you can't actually see anything when you shoot down it

I can't compare it to Wet & Wild (we have never been), but I can tell you that there was lots to appeal to my 16/17 year old son. A nice balance of big slides and water attractions that are great for all ages.

IMO and that of my teen and post teen kids

Aquatica is nice, new and clean and the attractions are probably the best of the Orlando water parks for the younger crowd

Wet and Wild is older and less fancy but the attractions tend to be more 'aggressive' and make for a park aimed at the older kids . . . .
