Has anyone cruised into Granada? There is a beach transfer excursion to Aquarium Beach. It's about $45 each. There are two of us. I'm wondering if it is a beautiful beach or special in some way. Also, is it worth paying for the excursion or would it be significantly cheaper to take a taxi. If a taxi was just a few bucks cheaper, I'd go for the transfer for the peace of mind, but if it is way cheaper, I'd actually prefer the flexibility of a taxi.

You could ask over on the Cruise Critic Grenada board. May be more people over there who've done it.

I believe this is the beach we went to last year. Although we took the "Tropical Beach Tour" I think it's called where we stopped first at the fort for about 30 minutes or so. If it's the same beach, it was nice. I can't quite remember how far we drove to get to the beach, so I don't have any idea on taxi cost. I seem to recall the small buses just waited for us. If you did a taxi, I think you'd have to pre-arrange a pickup time. I don't recall any taxis just waiting in the area. It was a bit secluded, as I recall.
