Are you allowed to put pictures on the walls of your apartment?:confused3

Depends on what you mean by pictures. They don't want you sticking up individual snapshots all over your walls but you can hang frames and posters and corkboards.

I am a photographer on the side...and want to make a couple of my prints into larger pics (not quite poster size) and put them up, to remember home. I could use tacks or that sticky stuff to put them up. Would that be acceptable?

If you're in doubt, look for frames. You can get cheap ones at Ikea that are just clear plastic. They're also good because they protect the actual picture or poster from getting holes in it.

yes i was wondering the same thing sort of..

are we allowed to put like wall decals and things up that are specially made for walls and not leaving residue or marks..?
like those 'command adhesive wall hooks'..?

We're not allowed to use sticky tack, adhesive or any of that 'non-residue' stuff, basically they just want you to keep the walls naked. I also used one of those wall hooks but I'm not sure if they were actually allowed or the inspection people just didn't notice.

2 tacks per wall. You can get around it - just make sure you take everything surplus to requirements down every time they come round to check your apartment (the scheduled times, that is).
