AP's no longer available at the Disneystore

After saving up $$ and selling a lot on eBay I finally have a thick stack of Disney gift cards with which to buy new DAP's for myself and my two daughters. I drove to the nearest Disneystore (45 minutes away) to purchase the AP vouchers for our upcoming trip to DL and discovered that they don't sell them at all anymore. Oh well....I suppose I can just use all those gift cards at the ticket booths in front of the park entrance. I was hoping to simplify by doing it in advance.

Just though I'd pass along the info in case anyone else was planning to buy theirs at the Disneystore too

You should get 3 day park hoppers for you and the girls so that you can use the magic morning and THEN upgrade at the park after you've gotten the extra hour

I would suggest seeing if you can buy the e-ticket AP vouchers on disneyland.com, but since you have a *stack* of giftcards it might not work. To buy tickets with a GC you can't exceed three giftcards, and if buying an AP with them is allowed I imagine it's the same.

Good memory! That was 3 years ago...They did cause problems but it was because they charged my card 2x for one transaction. Fortunately, they did the activation properly.

Don't sweat it. Gift cards are actually really easy for the CM to process, just enter the amount and swipe! Although, if you get a newbie, they may take a little longer.

As already mentioned, buy 3 day hoppers. You then get a magic morning.

We usually head for guest services to the left of Disneylands gates to buy AP's as the line there is usually much shorter than the ticket booths.

Not sure but it seems to me that with hoppers you could then enter California Adventure, head to the AP center in Greetings and upgrade there to avoid the ticket booth lines.

3 years ago! That's just frightening that I still remember it. But you're from the town where I spent every other weekend visiting my dad, so you stick out in my memory.


Hey, I've been that person just to buy fruit with a couple tiny, cents-left, giftcards, when the giftcards lost their magnetic stripe and the CM refused to just key in the numbers until she'd tried to swipe them a million times each...

I too say buy 3 day hoppers and then upgrade after your MM! You have a stack..... what about buying the PHs/APs in the 3 seperate transactions from www.disneyland.com ~ do you have more than 9 cards?

I am just going to echo others...get the 3 day hoppers, use your MM and then upgrade! That's how we did it and we loved the MM!!!! I was very surprised how much we enjoyed it because we are NOT morning people at all....but we loved it.
