APs & College students?

Hi,

My daughter is going to University of Cnetral FL (it's in Orlando - we will be making lots of visits from cold, yucky IL ). I was thinking that an Annual Pass would be a good graduation gift, but does anyone know if she would be elgible for a Florida Resident AP or should I just get the non-resident AP? Does Dinsey have some sort of deal with colleges in FL? Maybe I should just ask the college - but it's Saturday and they are not open and I wanna know now ?

If she has proof that she lives in Florida (such as a drivers licence) then she is elegible for the Florida resident rate. However you will not be able to purchase the ticket for her at that rate without her and her ID with you.

You can purchase the voucher, but cannot turn it into a ticket for her. She will have to do that at one of the parks & show her college ID. She will not have to show a FL drivers licence since she is a college student. The state doesn't expect them to convert thier hometown DL's into FL ones... I am not sure how you can purchase on though not living in FL. Maybe you can try ordering one from the web site or call them & ask. I do know that you can purchase them, just not turn it into the actual thing without proper ID. I use to work in a Disney Store & that was what we had to tell the guest all the time. We would ask for their ID, if they didn't have it, we would have to tell them that a valid FL ID would be needed to turn the voucher into the actual pass...and there were no refunds if they couldn't.
