APs and Resort guests can now upgrade their magicband

Just joining the craziness! Please help me understand...say I find 1 premium band (for a party of 4) but the choices for the others are not available. Can I order the one and select the plain for the rest of the party and go back later to order the rest of the premiums when available?

Omg! Actually got magicbands! We’re going just before Halloween so these will work. I wanted other ones but I do like these.

Got our Halloween Mickey magicbands in the mail today. Both were correct. Really cute. Vampire Mickey on one side, jack-o-lanterns on the other side.

So earlier today I saw a Darth Vader and a storm trooper one. Yup. Gone by late afternoon. Still showing the Minnie Mouse one with polka dots and bows but don’t be fooled. Out of stock this evening. . Trying to get everyone in the group happy with current selections is not so easy after all.

I haven't been to Disney in 2 years and saw yesterday I could get a premium band upgrade...now they aren't showing available. They got my hopes up...and they apparently are not offering codes for Shop Disney even though the one I want is "in stock" there. How long did it take to restock previously?

I have been trying for weeks to get upgraded bands for our family. Every time I select ones they say they are out of stock even through they show up on the mde website

I'm curious. What happens if a reservation is cancelled and you have premium MB?

We did a few upgrades for the kids, but now, we might get there one day earlier, and to do so at the same hotel because of availability, we would have to cancel and rebook...

You get charged the $10/15 discount you received when purchasing.

You could try booking the new reservation before canceling the old one. Then your MDE account would never be w/out a reservation, or maybe try doing it over the phone instead?

Oh no... before I found these boards and when I first booked my stay I saw this option on the MDE page and spent about a week trying to snag the stubborn spaceship earth band for my hubs. Nothing I did seemed to help but one night in June I got it. Couldn't add the rainbow band for me (First choice), Then the haunted Mansion one also was being a pain (Second choice), So I went with sorcerer Mickey and it went through! They arrived about a week later all safe and as ordered. I'm just sad because I didn't know it was being this much of a pain for people and my trip isn't until January.

They don’t seem to be fixing this anytime soon so odds are if you waited it still would be a nightmare a few months from now.

Crazy thing is many of these are in the DisneyStore... you don't see it dropping and adding bands on an hourly basis.

Exactly! Out of curiosity once, I went to the shop and put three of the ones we wanted in my cart. I got all the way up to the order screen. So they are available if you pay full price. The obviously want you to give up and order them, but I’m not falling for that. I’ll just get my normal solid color bands if I have to. Which with just three days left, that’s what I’m going to have to do.

I was finally able to order mine with two days to spare! Now I’m just hoping they show up correctly. I’m so excited! It’s like I won the lottery except I had to pay $30 to do it.

Same. I have been checking for over a month. Decided to half hardheartedly to try today and I was shocked when it went thru. You know I hit "purchase" as fast as I could!

Me too! Plus I got the Sorcerer Mickey one for my sister. I couldn’t get the Minnie bows one for my Mom, but I got the red with the Minnie heads. She’ll be happy with that one.

Silly question, has anyone been able to determine what is the best time of day or night to get the bands before they sell out? We have a family trip of 8 all trying to get what we want(
