AP's and Parking Upgrade

I know you can upgrade a ticket to an AP and get the value applied towards an AP, but if you are upgrading to a pass with parking, can that day's parking charge be applied as well?

I don't know if they'll apply the charges, but the annual passholder FAQ says that they'll reimburse you for the parking on the day that you add the parking option to your AP. I would think it's the same for upgrading.
