Aprincess72 Disneyland Disneymoon TR!

Part 1...

We headed out early to get to CA before it opened. We were able to get there just as they were opening the park! I always love watching them open the parks! It’s a rare occasion DH gets up early enough for us to make that!!

We headed towards the Disney Gallery store first because that’s what we most obsess about! BIG FIGS! Ugh… still nothing different here!

Our first stop was Disney Animation. We went in to Turtle Talk with Crush first. Oddly enough I’ve never done this at EPCOT! It’s always packed so we always avoid it!
As we were standing in line with our buttons on and me wearing my wedding ears, I see a little girl staring at us. She then runs over and says “Congratulations!” and then runs back to her mom and hides. It was so cute!! Kids just kill me with the things they say!
So we head inside and I actually got to talk with Crush. Dude! It was so cool! I could barely stop myself from saying DUDE! All day!

We had some fun inside the rest of Disney Animation. Always up for an interesting photo op:

Well that should confirm our weirdness…

On the way out I see this wall and of course I have to have a pic here!
Jims063-2.jpg

And then this one too…

We worked our way to Monsters Inc. I thought it was a pretty cool little ride! I really loved the room that has all the doors! SO cute!!

Here we are outside Monster’s Inc:

DH is off to scare some little ones…
Jims072.jpg

I have to go slow with this one because after this I don't know what I'm going to do with myself!!!!

Im glad to see you detailed your California Adventure day. I dont hear a whole lot about it so its good to see it in photos and stuff! Keep it coming!

On with the show…

We headed towards Tower of Terror. It’s not my favorite ride since I’m really opposed to dropping out of the sky. This is the only ride of this kind that I will actually do!
On our way there we met this lady:
Jims076.jpg

I’ve never seen the Incredibles at WDW!! I wish we had them! I kept hoping for a chance to meet Mr. Incredible but we never saw him. I guess I will just have to stick with the Mr. Incredible that I married…

Deja Vu...
Jims071.jpg

CA is a bit like MGM with a dash of MK & AK. I really liked it! It’s got a nice mix of different things that make it very interesting!

We headed over to Paradise Pier. It’s like a big fair!
Jims086.jpg

DH talked me into riding this thing that you see in the front of this pic. It swings around and isn’t too terrible. But I was so not riding that Ferris Wheel!!! Look closely and you will see that some of the cars are on their own track and they slide around as it moves. No thanks!
Jims079.jpg

DH decided to ride Mailboomer because there was no wait. He knew better than to ask me if I wanted to go on this thing. First of all it’s one of those sit on the outside and drop deals. As I said before, I don’t do that! The most disturbing thing to me about this ride is that they have huge plastic face shields in front of you. Nevermind that if you need to scratch your nose you won’t be able to do that! But why is this thing here??? Is it because they expect you to puke??? I just don’t see how that’s fun and I’m a fun loving kinda girl!

After that we headed for California Screamin’. I couldn’t believe it but the line was really not that bad. We waited maybe 20 minutes. It’s a great coaster. I like coasters but my body isn’t always fond of them. I push through though! Sometimes I just need a little break:
Jims087.jpg

DH takes a few minutes to have fun with billboards. He can make a photo op out of just about anything.
Jims083.jpg

I think he secretly wishes to be pelted with flying burgers:

Time for lunch!
We head over to Wine Country Trattoria. I read good reviews of this place and was excited we were able to get right in! The food was very good! It’s actually the only food I remembered to take pictures of for my TR!
Here’s DH and his new friends… the breadsticks:
IMG_1131.jpg

I had this fabulous salad. I’ll pretty much love anything you smother with bacon!
IMG_1133.jpg

DH had a meatball sandwich. I like this picture because it still tickles me to see him wearing a wedding band!

After our lunch we headed over to A Bug’s Land. I thought this was really cute. I’m a big fan of the It’s a Bug’s Life 3d movie so we headed for that first:

Jims090.jpg

After the movie I got to meet the lovely Princess Atta:
Jims098.jpg

The gardens here are so cute! They match the bugs!

Jims093.jpg

I don’t much care for spiders…
Jims094.jpg

DH takes on Hopper:
Jims089.jpg

I’m such a dorky girl…
Jims096.jpg

Which is why I married an equally dorky fella…
Jims097.jpg

After that I got shanghaied into riding Grizzly Falls. Jeans and water rides are just a bad idea.
Jims100.jpg

I got soaked of course. You can't se but half of my head is dreanched!
Jims101-1.jpg

Since I don't enjoy jeans that stick, I decided it was a great time to go back to the hotel and change! We have ADR for Napa Rose so I needed to go back to the hotel and change anyway.

We got to the GC hotel a little early so we could walk around and check things out. It’s pretty cool that you can enter CA right from the hotel! I would LOVE to stay here sometime!!
We decided to hang out at the Napa Rose lounge for a bit before dinner. It’s beautiful in here and they took us to a nice window table. Not quite the cozy by the fireplace table I hoped for but no biggie. We had decent service in the lounge but not great. They came to tell us that our table was ready and assured us that since we couldn’t find our server they would transfer the ticket. Something tells us this is going to go wrong….

We are seated at a table right by the kitchen and I am right next to the server station. Once again not the romantic table I was hoping for… I put on our ADRs that we were there for our honeymoon. Not one person during any of these even acknowledged that! I even saw it written on our cards they give the servers too! Oh well…
Our server at Napa Rose was awful. She never brought my drink. After 20 minutes I finally asked the bus boy for it. We ended up having to ask him for just about everything. His name was Victor and I really wanted to tip only him when we got our bill! Our server moved at a snails pace and rarely came by our table. The food was very good here but the service was so bad that it really ruined the entire experience. I don’t mind spending money on a nice dinner but I want good service too! We were pretty disappointed!

Tomorrow we go to DL & CA! Just so we don’t miss anything…

Your photos crack me up!! I love them!! Yuo guys are so cool!

I hate that your dinner wasnt so great. Sounds like crappy service if you ask me. Some people just genually hate their job...

As for the incredibles girl-- they do have her at WDW-- DH and I met her back in November... (the light on the scanner makes the photo so bright and we look completely washed out! I promise-- we do have color!)

Love the report-- keep 'er comin!

Wow! As often as we go to WDW I can't believe I've never seen them there!
Maybe I should stop spending so much time looking for frozen chocolate covered bananas...

Ok, I need to stop reading your reports because now I want the 'Where Dreams Come True' shirt and the pink rain jacket!!!!! DF is going to kill me....shh....we won't tell :) I just broke it to him yesterday that I ordered the 'Happily Ever After' one ;)

I'm loving your report. DF are the same way. We just act 'dorky' and silly and take goofy pictures and have a BLAST! Can't wait to read more!

Maggie: Where in WDW is that 'You're a Character' thing? I don't think I've ever seen it :confused3

LOL! The jacket was just at the outlet for half price! I was so mad! I saw my Where Dreams Come True shirt at the outlet as well a few months ago. I am shocked that I haven't seen it since! I originally bought it at Mouse Gears as well! That one I purchased the morning after we got engaged!

Can't wait to see your pics!!! It must be something in that SC water! DH is from Greenville and I lived up there for awhile too!

Its in MGM. Its in The Magic of Disney Animation (Number 11 on your park map-- good thing I kept this!). Its kind of tucked in the corner. You go in and watch a short movie with the guy talking showing how animation is brought to life-- and then you exit and can meet characters or go into the room and learn to draw your own animated character. If you are facing the Great Movie Ride its to the right....all the way in the corner. They had her there along with Mr. Incredible... That place is really interactive and fun. We got to take a photo of ourselves and stick it in a storybook.... adn then DH and I had a good time at the singing booths. Its like karaoke and they have the words on the screen and you sing into this tv screen the words (and you speak the parts to the movie)-- and then it plays it back for you! Loads of fun!

That must be it :goodvibes

I wish we had a Disney outlet somewhere near us! Is there anywhere online that you can go and search where their locations are, or are there really only like a couple left in the whole US?

Now I want to go to the Disney store today just because I feel like I'm in Disney shopping mode now :) I think that's what I'll do after my fitting since it's right across the street from David's :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh! How have we missed this??? It sounds like a blast! My favorite part of Disney Quest was trying to draw the characters, so this would be so fun. Plus the karaoke stuff and the photos in the storybook AND characters! I know my new favorite stop in MGM :) Thanks!

The WDW one's owned by Disney are only in FL. Everything there is either discontinued or overflow and it's all half price or less! The one's I frequent are St. Augustine in the Belz outlet mall, Orlando inside the Premier Outlets, and Sunrise, FL inside Sawgrass Mills. I think there are two more though. There are a few other outlets around Orlando that are not Disney owned but still have decent deals!

They have some other outlets around the country but they are owned by other people. The ones we went to in CA were not very good and the prices were barely discounted.
I think there is a Disneyshopping outlet near you somewhere. I've never been there but I know the distribution center is in SC. I order from there waaay too much. My next package arrives Monday! woohoo!

Thanks! Now I'm on a search to find the Disneyshopping Outlet!! :rotfl:

:headache: I'm a little upset that the Sawgrass outlet doesn't have the jacket!!! I need it!!! I am heading that way tomorrow again - keep your fingers crossed ladies!!!!

Our first day at Disneyland!!

We had a visit at our table from Oscar. I’m not sure what Oscar does but I believe he’s the head chef and he has been here a long time.

Tomorrow: California Adventure!

i know this was posted a while ago BUT!...Oscar is the oldest remaining cast member at Disneyland :) he is always there and he will always stop and chat with everyone...i really enjoy talking to him when i am there as well! i've never eaten there for lunch but for breakfast the special is the "oscar scramble" or something like that.

i wanna go to Disneyland...we usually go every year but with the wedding coming up we just can't afford it...i'm having withdrawls!
