April vacation - early or late FP+'s?

We are headed to WDW in mid-April during school vacation week in the Northeast. The tail end of our trip is the Star Wars marathon. Should we plan on early FP's (and try to get more later in the day) or try for late FP's since it is going to be a busy time and there may not be any more fastpasses in the afternoons. Either way we are planning to do rope drop and I even scored some 8 am breakfast reservations at BOG, CRT, and Garden Grill during the week. We are also DVC members so planning to go to the Moonlight Magic event at AK on 4/17. Kids are 6 and 8 1/2 and we will probably be stroller-less this time. Thanks for your advice!

We always FP+ the middle of the day when the crowds are greatest. Allows us to get in early rides without, then add more FP+s in the afternoon/evening.
Would never do a breakfst ADR at 8:00 am (unless park opening is 9:00) as that is prime time for getting in the most rides before the crowds arrive.

We normally get them in early so that we can grab a few more. Depending on the park, even on busy days, there are usually useful FP available.

Typically we will RD and hit a few things and then FP at 930, 1030, 1130. I often move them up as we go to squeeze that timing for better additional FP availability.

The PPO ADR will allow you some additional rides at or before park opening. You’ll have a great time.

We usually plan our first fastpass for about an hour to two after park opening. We ride a few rides when the park opens before the lines are long and then use our fastpasses once the lines start to increase. Once we use our fastpasses, we start looking for additional ones. We were there over spring break last year (Thurs before Easter until the Tues after) and we didn't have trouble getting additional fastpasses each day.
