Hi we have booked a villa with a pool for April the 3rd do you think we will need to heat the pool, i think i will have to pay extra for this. So ime not sure wether this will be necessary this time of year.

Thankyou Marv

Normally pool heating is not required through May to September.
Having said that it can depend on the pool, we have booked heating in the past but still found it not to be that warm, others have been perfect.

If your pool is south facing, gets the sun all day, it can help in keeping the water warm - overall I would say yes you would 'probably' need it.

Sorry not really helping here am I?

I think I might be tempted to in April yes, but as Johnny says it depends which way your pool faces too :)

Do you have the option to "wait and see" and when you get there if it needs to be turned on to ask the management agent to do it (for no extra fee)? I don't know if this is possible or even normal in villa rentals, just a thought :)

Thanks for your replys, ime tempted now to arrange heating as my kids will find any spare moment to get in the pool.
As we have booked with Virgin i think they can arrange the heating for us before we get there.

Thanks again

Marv

We were there in April last year...........the weather was perfect, but we still had the pool heat. Perfect for those late night or early morning swims when it can still be a bit chilly. Water felt like a warm bath by the afternoon!!!!!! :goodvibes
Glad we had the pool heat though.

Did you all pay locally over there for your heating? If you booked a villa through a travel agent will they inform them before you leave that you want pool heating or do you just do it when your there.?

My worry is that i pay for heating from the first day of our holiday but it make take 2 days to heat up,hence a cold pool.

Sorry fro all the Q's

We booked ours direct with the owner at the time of booking, that was when we last needed it however, going in August it's not required.

The pool heating , if maintained by a local Management Company should be switched on prior to your arrival.
