Hi,
Ok I am going back and it was supposed to be march but now my school informed me it is starting a month later and so I will be getting out a month later. So now it is either April or May I can go. April will be better but I heard it is really crowded. I was there in July this year and it was not too bad so I was thinking maybe i could do it. Any thoughts of when to go? Is it better that Easter is so early this year that April might not be too bad.

Hi Scott,

If you want low crowds your best bet would be either the last week of April or the first couple of weeks of May.

I have to agree with late april the first couple of weeks of may being not that bad for crowds! we went last may 5th to the 13th...it was great!...the longest waits were for the rides that pre-school children could go on (SAFARI in AK, rides in fantasyland etc) the rest of the attractios were no more that a 20 to 30 min wait. I think that time of year most children are back in school they just had spring break and the summer is 4 weeks away so most parents dont take their children out of school...or maybe its because most people have their vacations for the summer already lined up..But to me it seemed like the families that were there were one with younger childrenranging in age from new born to 5 yr olds.. the above is just an observation on my part...personally i felt may was less crowded than oct when the f&w festival was going on. I liked May so much we are going back next May as well.

Thank you both for the information. It looks like I will try for May.

I agree, the last week of April or the first couple of weeks in May are the best times to go.:thumbsup2 Lower crowds and the weather is just about perfect. Up until the very end of April there are still a lot of spring break crowds.

I speak from experience, the first two weeks of May are awesome. My DW and I have gone the last three years during the first couple weeks of May and will be going again in May 2008. The crowds are average, the line waits are usually 10-45mins give or take, and the weather's great. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Great, no that I am talking about it, I want to go NOW.

Thank you all for your responses. The bad news I got today is that i have to go 3/30 - 4/5. Good news is I will be there. Also, easter is so early this year 3/23/08 that might help.
Anyway I will be there again and that is all that matters.

I have to agree with you about may as well...This time Im going from may 14 to the 21st (I leave the wed before memorial day ) you think it will be the same going a week later this time. Last year I was there the 5th to the 12th and crowds were GREAT!!!! im hoping us liviing a week later will not make a difference..so just curious if you have gone around that week or was it always earlier???

Well, regardless of when you go, you'll have an awesome time. Have fun!!

I hope so. I was there july 12 - July 16 so I figure it cannot be worst than that. Though it really was not that bad in July. Well anyway it is when I have to go so thank you for the info.

I just booked a trip from May 4-8 at BWV for my 32 y/o dd, who has never been to WDW, and myself. I just got home from a two week trip to WDW and DCL...and I have to tell you, it was brutally hot and crowded. Much more so than other Augusts that I have been there. I was going to book our trip for late July in order to celebrate both our birthdays there, but after that week in WDW that we had, I changed it to May. Good to know that it's a good time to go. I've been later in May and it was pretty good as far as crowds go...seemed to pick up after Mother's Day from what I saw.

Love going the first 2 weeks in May.
