Hey folks, I too am headed to Disney solo. I think it might be a wee bit more helpful if those of us who might be interested in hanging out could maybe post something more about ourselves... for instance, not to discriminate, but as a single young woman I'm not so sure I'd be comfortable hanging out with an older man, KWIM?

My name is Jenni, I'm 25 years old and moderately disabled with rheumatoid arthritis -- I'm not in a chair, but I do typically rent an ECV at Disney to make getting around easier. I have three total joint replacements (both hips, one shoulder) and it's tough to walk around for 8 straight hours!

I'm an avid Disney fan and I've been there solo twice now; this will make trip number three on my own, although I've also been a couple times with my family in tow. I'm staying off-site at a cheap motel from May 2nd til May 8th, and during that time I'll probably hit MK twice, Epcot twice, and Animal Kingdom once. I don't care much for MGM and every time I waste a day there I've regretted it.

Unfortunately, I spending the 11th with one of my best friends and her mother. Otherwise, I would have been interested. If anyone else is interested in meeting for lunch or dinner between the 5/1 & 5/9 (I have plans on the 10th also - illuminations cruise) let me know. I have some plans but they are not something that could not be easily changed.

I will be doing the solo trip thing and staying at the AKL from April 30 to May 4 with one additional day at Universal and staying at the Hard Rock Hotel.

I am a 47 year old male theme park geek. My wife, bless her heart, loves going to Disneyland with me on a once a month basis but the idea of an entire week at WDW is just a bit much. She recognizes this is my little laughingplace. As she reminds me, I could have much worse hobbies.

I actually enjoy the solitude of these trips (third time to WDW...go often to Disneyland) but wouldn't mind hooking up with a couple of others for a few rides, dinner or some after park activities.
