We got married in April 1991, so for our first honeymoon we went to Williamsburg, VA. It was the only thing we could afford after paying for our wedding. We used to go to Williamsburg every year to celebrate our anniversary until 2006. That was our 15th wedding anniversary and we decided to "splurge" and go to Disney. And we've been going to Disney ever since! We usually go in May because it is less crowded.
We're getting married next yr at the end of March and will be honeymooning in Turks and Caicos the first week of April. Since we'll already be in Florida for the wedding this was my chance to finally squeeze it in. My argument was that we'll already be so close and the flight won't be as long or as expensive
We're having the wedding and the Honeymoon at WDW. Some may say that's overkill, but we don't get to go to Disney as often as most, and this will probably be our last vacation until after grad school and vet school (5 loooong years), so we're stickin' with Disney. Good luck deciding!
I'm sensing a bit of a trend here Our wedding/honeymoon will be in April and we're going to spend a few days at Disney and then go to the Caribbean too (we haven't decided between St Lucia or Jamaica yet)
