April/May discount released

Thank you! We are staying at the poly April 18-21. I originally had AAA discount on room only and now I have this discount instead. It saved me $130 total! That is great! Thanks so much!

Fist thanks for the great info. Let me see if I understand. If I buy a 7 day hopper pass and don't use it all for what ever reason and have 4 days left, I could buy the no expiration on those days as long as we get it before we leave Disney, is that correct? I was thinking of using them next year.
My son is 8 and a big fan of the let me push the button twirl the dial, but not really into rides that you are confined in like the motion ones. I guess I assumed Disney Quest was a big arcade, can you let me know?
Our Rate is at the Springhill Suites. I would be willing to pay upto 130 a night on property but as you said would need a delux hotel room, I do have AAA and have not contacted them. Would you share your thoughts about what codes to try? I really would appreciate anything you can help us with.
We have a reservation at Chef Mickey, and last year we did the Cinderella Dinner, my son was in ahhh. Anyother resturants, I thought about Hoop de ----.
Dinning plan, worth it? Even though we would not use 3 days because we will be in other places, ie Seaworld, Waterparks

ANY THOUGHTS FROM ANYONE? Please do help. Especially with room.

:yay:

Where are you getting your tickets? at disneyworld.com a 5 day hopper/wp/no expiration is about 991pre tax (so that is what I was thinking you wer talking about for 1000). with tax that would be 1050. On undercovertourist.com those same tickets are final price (free shipping) 1020.

why no expiration? that option is adding alabout $170 to the cost of a 5 day ticket. If you are worried that something might happen and you wont use all your days, you can always add the no expiration after whatever has occured. within 14 days of first use, make sure you do it before leaving disneyworld.

We don't park hop, do waterparks or disney quest for various reasons so we save another few hundred there. We might would if they were free but we dont want to pay for it.

How old is your child? although several people have said they did like disneyquest with their young kids we didnt. There wasn't much they could do. We wont do it again till they are teenagers.

To get a queen or king bed I think you would have to go to a delux hotel. King beds at value/mod have a room occupancy of 2 (unless your child is under 3, they usually allow one child under the age of 3 in excess of the room occupancy). You are paying 87 offsite? onsite rack rate at a value is 99 per night (111 with tax). A Moderate is 185w/tax. There is a code BUC for room only res (similar deal for packages) that can get you about 15% off your room. which makes a value about 84 (94.50 with tax) a night and a moderate about 157w/tax. If you can't find availability for that code, aaa normal discount (if there is availability) for value or a moderate is 15% in regular season. If you have to pay for a membership you will still come out ahead membership will cost you somewhere around $50 and even on the value to discount adds up to $116 so you would still be saving over $50 and have that membership for the whole year. The aaa discount can be booked directly through aaa or disney. You dont have to purchase the membership until after you get your booking.

I have never done the dining plan, but if you plan to eat offsite three days, you could use those credits to help you get some of the signature dining restaurants (the 2 TS credit ones) That way you wouldn't be shorting yourself like you would be if dining onsite those days. The moderates were running like $139 a might with the code, if you were lucky enough to find one for your days. The code for room only is BUC, for room and MYW tickets it's ZHD and the one with dining tickets and room is ZHE. Good Luck and Pixie Dust! pixiedust: ETA Oh yeah, with these tickets they are base, you add hopping, no expy, what you want. :)

I have been mulling this over since, I first read it. I have just hung up from CR. She checked all the Deluxe Resorts for me. I book 4 nights at WL... Courtyard view, May 20 -24, 1 day base ticket per person
( we have Annual Passes) DDP, tax, saved over $500.00 from the first price that she quoted me, because I could not find the code. When I found the code, the price came down that much!! I am very Happy!!! I was just going to take the Annual Pass discount on the room, when I added the DDP then the base tickets, I am ahead with the code. :thumbsup2

You would actually have to pay the non expiration price for the entire ticket length either way.

We really really like the dining plan but we wouldn't be real likely to do much in room cooking even if we had a kitchen so although I dont see a reall savings with it, I can get so much more for near the same budget. Even if you will be leaving your disney hotel to 'play' offsite, you could always do breakfast before heading over and a late dinner after returning or as said use the 'saved' credits for signature stuff like I think Hoop de doo costs 2 credits??

At 8 if you have the patience for it your son may well enjoy the disneyquest. There are things that he still may not be tall enough for however from what you said they wont interest him. My kids were 2 and 4 and had never played video games and such before so even the simplist stuff was above their heads. I think they could get a lot out of it now but for the price I just dont have the patience to deal with it. We fill 7 - 8 days with park going at an easy pace with no hopping. We leave half a day for Down Town Disney and although as planned we dont go home feeling like we are too tired out, but rather relaxed, we find we end up with very little time for anything but seeing the parks. I just dont see any need (for us) to add those extras. Because of dining we are sitting down to dinners and taking part of our time getting there etc.

Also wanted to add that while it may be too late you could look into renting dvc from a dvc owner. This is a trust based transaction as it is between you and the owner and you arent protected by disney in anyway. However, many people do this with great success. There is a forum for it on these boards. For your entire week it would be 98points at old key west for a studio with two queen beds. These pts usually sell from 10-12 per point. At 10 /point it would put your average nightly cost at about 140. This is with two expensive weekend nights (friday, saturday 240, sunday-thursday 100). Many people dont do the weekend nights or atleast one of them and book something else for those nights, like a value...

example 1:
sat may 12th, Pop century 99/night +tax= 111 (rack rate)
sun may 13th-friday may 18th OKW 50pts = 500-600 (100-120/night)
fri may 19th, Pop century 99/night +tax= 111 (rack rate)
total 722 - 822.

example 2:
sat may 12th, offsite 87 (tax?)
sun may 13th-friday may 18th OKW 50pts = 500-600 (100-120/night)
fri may 19th, offsite 87 (tax?)
total 674-774

You wouldnt want to try to incorporate dining for the whole time with this but rather for the middle 5 nights, when you are at OKW.
