Anyone know if anything is going on April 28th - May 6th? Anything that might make crowds super bad?

We were there the first week of May this year and it was crowded even though nothing was going on. It may have seemed more crowded than it really was because so many rides were closed (Pirates, Small World, Indiana Jones, Alice, Nemo, & GRR).

The only thing that may make it "super crowded" is if people show up early for the Tinkerbell Marathon weekend May 7-10, which a lot of them probably will.

I think so many people are taking their kids off of school trying to find a "slow week" that slow weeks aren't so slow anymore.

Yeah, there just isn't a slow season like there used to be, it seems. I am just planning some "back up dates" in case your February trip falls through. If we have to take this trip, our last day in the parks would be the 5th. So hopefully those marathon crowds won't have arrived yet.

I was also looking at the week before but for whatever reason, the Desert Inn is more expensive that week.

I'm curious to know about the crowds during that time frame also. I was going to plan for May 3-9 until I saw the marathon schedule so now I'm thinking April 26-May 2 or possible April 19-25. My kids are all too young for grade school still so I'm not an expert on spring break dates but I think those are both after most spring breaks, right?

I had a friend who went this past May (the first week) and her daughter had choir programs there all week so maybe that's what made it a little busier.

I'm getting so excited already. April can't come soon enough! :p My daughter already has her Elsa and Minnie Mouse dresses and my son is excited that grandma gets to come this time :)

I am registered for the Tink marathon weekend and our travel dates will be May 4-11 so we have time at the parks before the race weekend!

OP here. We're still hoping nothing comes up and we can stick to our February dates. But we decided on the dates mentioned for our backup ones. I think they are far enough away from the marathon.
