If there's not an April 2003 list started. I'd like to start it!!

Going to WDW April 18 - 25, 2003

Staying on our DVC Home - Disney's Beach Club Villas !!:D

We'll be joining the DVC in 2 more weeks and BCV will be our new home too!!!! I can't tell you how excited I am to see this place. We'll be there from April 19-26, hopefully...I'm booking a studio as soon as we get our member number and I'm hoping its all before the 7 month window opens up for everyone else. :D

That sounds terrific!! You know it's my 5th trip too... and this is freaky- my B-day is May 1, 1963 !!

we should meet up and have an early birthday celebration at the park with our families!!

Hope you get your member # in time to book....

Hope to be able to trade tips while we plan our trip..

Nick ( and Paula... NandP)

We'll be at our "home" at the BCVs from April 18 - 24. We'll be in a one bedroom on Friday and Saturday night and a studio from Sun - Thurs.

We already made a trip "home" in July. You are gonna LOVE the BCVs!!!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!!!

I bet it is crowded during that time.. It is spring break for us in NY...
We plan on experiencing the magic, and forget the ride lines...

Sit on a bench and soak in the magic !!

Anybody have experience during that time of year ?
Is there special Easter Sunday activities ??
Are the church services available at the Poly ??

Oh, this is so exciting you guys! Pinnie, you'll have to give us any and all tips about this place. We're staying in a studio. I just hope everything works out "timewise" for us and I can book before Sept. 19th. If we are checking in on April 19th, that would be the 7 month window, correct? I just have to do all the signing up for the DVC before then. I'm already talking to a guide about it and are planning on putting a small down payment on Sept. 10th (that way she can get the paperwork rolling and I can get my member number to call for ressies) and the rest in October (refinancing house end of Sept). So are you all going to request the pool view or Epcot view?

ANY view is a great view !!!

Jillpie, did you get my note about birthdays????

Oh my gosh! I just saw it, that is a coincidence! So have you started packing yet? I started my "box" of stuff already. Especially since the Summer is winding down, I can start to put the kids Summer stuff in there, so much FUN. I actually started our itinerary already, but have to stop that since we can't positively say we will be there, but our guide seems to think I won't have any problem. How many kids do you have? We have 3 boys, ages 14, 10 and 9.
BTW, is this Nick or Paula I am speaking to?

Nick here... My wife just stepped out, we both post frequently on these boards... It is a great source of info... it helped our last trip be fantastic !!

We have a 5 year old boy.. that's it for now...

Do you drive down from MA? We are planning to drive, this is the first time we drove, air fare is too high for that time of year!!!

What part of Mass?? we both have family in Quincy, everette, malden anf 2 others I don't know where... We live about 60mi. north of NYC, right near the Hudson River...

feel free to email us direct: njd1963@aol.com

Hope to keep planning!

ps, ever use the Passporter? we did last trip, was verrrrry helpful... need to order a 2003 version now...

Jillpie,

I hope it all works out for you, too! Post on the board when you become a member so I can give you an official "Welcome Home!"

I am not going to make any room requests in April. When we were there in July, we had a dedicated 2 bedroom that was WAAAY in the corner and it suited our group fine.

NanP, we were also at WDW over Easter this year. Yes, the crowds are there, but we are AP holders, so we don't feel we have to do the "commando" routine. On Easter Sunday, we enjoyed a brunch at the Yachtsman Steak House and then walked over to EPCOT. We spent the rest of the day at the "beach" at the BC, visiting with friends and soaking up the sun. We had dinner at Beaches and Cream. We did find the MK crowded during the week! At times it was absolutely GRIDLOCK in Fantasyland! On those days, we just hopped over to EPCOT or MGM. We know going in that it is going to be crowded, and are there more for the 'atmosphere' than to actually do much. We are content to just sit on a bench and watch the world go by.

We are going back in April, June and August, (drum corp finals are in Orlando this yr.) so we can catch anything we missed when we go back.

Hope to see you all there!

Just wanted to let you know there are no more church services at the Polynesian. There "might" be services at the Contemporary but you would need to call and make sure on that.

Nick, we live a little bit south of Boston. All the towns you mentioned are familiar to me. We have never driven down to DW and never plan on it (a very scary thought), I would go nuts with the mototony of the highway, never mind the 3 kids, even though they're terrific boys, its a very long drive. I happened to have gotten great flight rates this year...104.00 going down and 123.00 going back to Logan airport. But, I had to get on the phone at midnight to get them:rolleyes: and they were sold out in 20 minutes (Delta), so it was worth it. Never used the Passporter, just get the new guides each year.
Pinnie, thank you! I can't wait to see those words, Welcome Home! How did you feel the walk to SAB is? I heard it was long? How is that slide, I love slides!!! (and I'm 42 yrs. old:D ). I just can't wait to make my first ressie, please cross your fingers that I'll get in on time before everyone else does?

Jillpie,

We were in the furthest room from SAB, and even there, it wasn't far. I guess it is all relative. but it really isn't that bad, and I am pushing 50;)

I am waiting for SWA to post their flights for April. Right now they are only taking ressies for up to Jan. 10. I saw today on NWAs site that they have a R/T non-stop for $339 out of DTW. I KNOW I can get it cheaper on SWA and then will have only need 2 more points, which I plan on getting in June, for another Rapid Rewards ticket!

FYI, we just did an add on at the BVCs. We added on another 50 points. We signed and notarized the paperwork and now are just waiting for the deed to be recorded.

I am so excited!!!
I am going in April too.
I thought I might be alone HE HE.
I havent made any res. yet.... I know I should but I
am a little confused so I just keep reading these great posts.
I am fairly new here is even some of the lingo is *%!**^ to me.
I was hoping for a Delta flight non stop but WOW the fair is
so high now. We did go in April this year also and our flight was 119.00 nonstop from RI.
IF anyone sees any low air prices please post.
Thanks:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Candylover, welcome to the boards. I too am from Ma. and I saw your other post about having 5 in your family. We have 5 also and have stayed at Port Orleans Riverside (POR) for the past 4 years and have loved it. They are considered a "moderate" resort that is on Disney property and half of this resort sleeps 5 in a room, 2 double beds and a trundle. Have you considered this? The Disney club discounts came out today and you can get 15% off in April, but join quickly as these rooms go fast. I know what you mean about flights, ouch. I booked ours last May when they came out for April and was lucky enough to get the lowest rates. They are ridiculous right now. Keep trying though!:D

We are going April 20-27. We are staying at the Dolphin with the teacher's discount.

Thanks Jillbie,

No, i didnt even think about PO...hmmmm I think i'll look into it.

I am so looking forward to going back!!

Nick and Paula, I just wanted to give you an update! We did join the DVC last week and was lucky enough to bank 2002 points into 2003 and got a one bedroom, we are SO excited about this. I think about it all the time now, I can't imagine having all this extra room. I'll be sending off all our paperwork this week..
Are you getting excited yet?:D
