I checked the Wonder 2012 Cruise Meet List and this cruise wasn't on it, so here I go. We're technically booked for this cruise AND the 4/15/12, but our best guess at DD's spring break week is the 8th so I thought I'd go ahead and start the thread. Hope I'm not alone for very long! My husband discovered FEs and door magnets on our first cruise last month and really wants to do it next time. :D

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

I hate to leave a meet thread that I started, but the school district just posted dates and it's NEITHER of the weeks we reserved onboard based on previous year's calendars. So much for planning ahead. I hope everyone who finds this thread has great cruise, I'm off to join the April 1st meet. :D

Even though nobody has added to this meet thread, I will post that I just booked my 3 kids and I!! We did this cruise last Feb and the kids had so much fun. Over 2 months later and it is still a hot topic of conversation! Some friends and family may join us as well but the best part about this cruise is that the kids will have no idea as I am SURPRISING them!! They will have no clue, especially since we leave on Easter. They'll open their baskets in the morning as always and then go to mass and then I am going to tell them that we are going out to eat for lunch. Here's to hoping I can pack and disguise the luggage enough to keep the secret!

Hi socababy, count us in too! I just booked this cruise this morning. :cool1:

It will be me, DW Amy, and DD5 Emma. This will be Emma's third Disney cruise and our fifth. Our most recent was on the Wonder in January.

We haven't told Emma yet either and am debating on surprising her. I like your surprise idea and might have to think of something creative. Of course, we have a 12-hour drive to port so we will have to think of something other than going out to lunch! ;)

We were told the main dining was full so we are on the wait list for it. I'm surprised more people aren't posting here yet since the ship must be starting to fill up. I guess this means we probably won't see the kids sail free promotion but we will keep our fingers crossed.

I look forward to chatting with you and everyone else that eventually joins us. Happy planning! :thumbsup2

Yea! Someone else is on this cruise!! We have friends joining us on this cruise too and I was surprised that they were wait listed for main dining as well. I had the TA link their reservation with mine in hopes that they will get moved to main dining.

So far it will be me, MIL, FIL and at time of sailing ds9, ds7, and dd4. Friends joining us will be my gf and her Dh and their 3 kids who are the exact same age and gender as mine!!

I look forward getting to know everyone over the course of this next year!

We're in as well! We actually booked onboard while we were cruising the MR in late Feb. We had so much fun that rebooking was almost a necessity!:thumbsup2
Still a little too early for me to get into planning mode but am looking forward to our next sea adventure!

Hello,
Well, after a lot of waiting for a school calendar, we finally have our Spring Break set for next year. I had been booked on the April 1 cruise but we just moved to this one today based on next year's Spring Break.

Wow - not too many people here yet. I hope more people will come and join us soon :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone! Looks like we will be joining you too. I've booked this cruise a few months ago,but wasn't quite sure if we'd move it or not.
As of right now,it will be my triplet daughters (5 yo at time of travel) & myself. This will be our second DCL cruise & second time on the Wonder also. Not sure if we will be participating in the FE exchange or not since we will be flying in from the East coast.
We're planing on spending a couple of days at DLR before the cruise. We're WDW vets, but this will be our first visit to Disneyland and really excited about it :cool1::cool1::cool1:

Awesome!!! Welcome to to the group (lol - I feel funny welcoming people since I just started posting here too :lmao: )

We have been DLR passholders for 10 years now so if you have any questions, just let me know. I love talking Disneyland with people :thumbsup2

Darn, no new posts in over a month. I hope we get some people joining our group. I was surprised when I was playing around on the DCL site today, to see that the price for this cruise has gone up again  I can't believe that they are continuing to raise the prices when it isn't even close to being sold out (still inside rooms available). The April 1st cruise is even higher than this one but that one appears to be more booked-up already.

I have my finger's crossed for a KSF or So. Cal. discount on this one if the bookings stay low. I would love to push out my on-board booking to save for the Fantasy in 2013 and change this one to a more discounted one. Oh well...finger's crossed for that.

Anyone else still watching this thread????

I'm here, I'm here!:)
I'm honestly surprised to see such a lack of posts. The cruise can't be that empty as they are already bumping people to the second seating for dinner? Maybe we're just too early and people aren't really excited yet?:confused3
I mean, our cruise leaves on Easter! People have got to be booked for spring break, right? I hadn't noticed that the prices had gone up on the website. Maybe they know something we don't!

Anyway, has anyone heard about Princess cruise lines pulling out of Puerta Vallarta stops due to violence? I heard the news a while ago but haven't heard anything recently.

I promise to check this thread more often and make more comments!

I was wondering about that too. It is Spring Break that week for our district and we are really close to the port so I would have thought there would cause an increase in bookings (and interest) once our 2011-2012 school schedule finally came out in June.

We purposely book second seating so I didn't even think about the dinner seating as an indication, but that does make sense.

I really hope that there isn't any concern in PV that causes DCL to pull out of there too. We don't have any excursions planned for Cabo but there are some that we want to do in PV. But of course, if they pull out of there, it is for a reason (I just hope they don't have to).

I'm back! See...when I say I'm going to do something, I mean it (most of the time;))!

Regarding cancelling any stops; I guess we'll just have to keep an eye on trip advisor but as we know, Disney would only cancel a stop if they deem it necessary. Do you know if they will be doing the Mazatlan stop when they return to the MR this fall?

The fall cruises all have it removed from the ports of call. It shows back up on the first 7-night cruise in January 2012.

Thanks so much for the info!

So, I know I'm really jumping the gun here...but what if they had to cancel Mazatlan and PV? They couldn't possibly do 3 days in Cabo. What's left that would be possible? Please don't say Ensenada as I'm actually gagging at the thought.:sad2: Catalina?

Yeah!!!! You got us to page 2 :thumbsup2

The longer MR cruises also add Manzanillo, Mexico so I wouldn't be surprised if they go there in place of PV (if they have to go that route).

I'm here stalking this thread as well! I have been surprised it hasn't been busier since it is spring break week. We are also taking this same cruise this coming Thanksgiving week and there hasn't been too much chatter on the MEETS thread. Now the Hawaii thread, that's a whole different story! LOL

The best part is that the kids do not know about either of these trips!

Ohhh, I am so jealous (in a good way, LOL) of your upcoming trips. I would love the Hawaii cruise but I can't take my kids out of school for that long (DD is going into 8th grade and it would be too hard for her to make things up). I can't be too jealous though since DH agreed to let me book the Fantasy for 2013 (as soon as the dates are released, LOL). He isn't sure if he is going to join us or not, but the kids and I will get to go for sure :cool1:

I have my dream (not the ship) trip planned out in my head. I would love to take the LA to Seattle (or Vancouver) repo B2B with an Alaska cruise and then take the Amtrak Coast Starlight back home, LOL. Great idea...but again school gets in the way for the kids. Maybe when they are older Dh and I can do that one

Our Dream (the ship this time) cruises last April had very active threads too. It does help add to the excitement! Maybe if they announce discounts for this one later, it will get more people onboard (figuratively and literally, LOL).
