I believe spring break start's on April 4th (Saturday) and it's my husbands birth day. So we wanted to go then for 1 day (never been on spring break) to get his free birthday ticket.

My questions are-

How crowded will it be? It will be the first day of spring break, so shouldn't it be a little less crowded.

When we use his ticket, can we go inside DL to the annual pass place and upgrade to a annual pass? Will they credit us our ticket price towards the annual pass? Also we only want the $174 which is blocked out on that day, so can we still get it and stay in the park?

Thanks

You can upgrade from the birthday ticket, and yes, when you buy a new or upgrade an old pass on a blockout day, you get to stay!

With spring break, that goes from mid-March to mid-May. Different districts, states, colleges, schools...they all have different spring breaks. Up here they've practically done away with those sorts of breaks and they have more breaks more often, and people will travel for them. So just looking at your own district's break isn't going to show the whole story...but it also means that every single school isn't taking a break in just ONE week, which lowers the number of people, relatively.

Have fun!

Generally speaking, the local Spring break crowds are the worst the week before and after Easter. That being said, we were there last Saturday and it was really busy.

The new parade, and whatever else they will be doing for the celebration start at the end of March, so I'm guessing the locals may be out in droves the weekend of the 4th anyway. They haven't even put up all the decoration yet. LOL!

On the Disneyland calendar it has the week staring with the forth blocked out for two weeks (ap dates) so I thought it was spring break.

what decorations are they putting up?

Also we really want to see character's for my son (14 months) and friends daughter (18 months), so what should we do for shorter lines or expect? Thanks
