SCRAPBOOK PAYMENT STILL DUE

I have NOT received payment from the following for scrapbook class:

Please check your PM's for information on payment.

Thanks!

As I read here and on FB, Corinna wrote that Yukongirl123 is not on this sailing anymore since the October cruise came out.

Well, if anyone else is a Holmes on Homes fan, as I am, then you will know that one of the measures of the previous contractor's workmanship is how long it takes to demolish it. Poor workmanship doesn't take too long to reduce to rubble.

Aloha shirt owners can rest assured, your DISboard exclusive shirts are Seriously high quality. This afternoon, it took me 2 1/2 HOURS to deconstruct one! :faint:

A group of us who is getting in the night before are staying at Doubletrre in San Pedro. Not sure what other are using to transfer from LAX to the hotel, but my family is using Super Shuttle with the price of $51 for family of 4. From the hotel to the port we will use free hotel's shuttle.

If you are interested for DoubleTree group rate, which was $139 I think contact Bev (mickeymom923). We also have Minnie Meet in the lobby that evening at 8PM with others staying at that hotel.

The only problem with the Super Shuttle is that they expect you to provide your own child seats as per their web site. California law requires that children under the age of 8 be in a child seat or booster. They may break the rules and take you anyway but this is something to be aware of.

The Disney ground transfer picks you up from the Marriot by LAX for $30/person. It's pricier but since it's a bus, you don't need chlld seats.

I think I am probably out of luck, but I am going to ask anyway. I have found something on Etsy that I really love. Unfortunately the seller does not have any suitable fabric for my purpose, but has offered to do this for me if I can provide some fabric. I really would love to use our fabric. I would need two pieces measuring approximately 14" wide and 12" long. The seller is in USA so postage would be easy. Are there people out there who could sell me some fabric?

Corinna

Did you get this solved?

:confused3 wondering what you will be making!!

OK, So I have ordered a Disney pillowcase for each of the kids in my FE group, My thoughts are that they could have them autographed. I am assuming DCL will not let me get that many things autographed?
So, If I deliver them in the first couple of days, with instructions, Do you think people could take their own pillowcases to guest services?
They are Disney pillowcases, so if they don't get autographed they are still a very cute FE gift. :goodvibes
What do y'all think?

PS - Don't tell the kids :thumbsup2

I don't know if you want to take a chance with it, but I just got off the phone with a company called Spread Shirt. http://www.spreadshirt.com/ They have kid size tee-shirts, in sky blue, and with shipping they cost about $16.

I say 'take a chance' because I've never used them before. They said they ship in 2-4 business days and use USPS. I read a couple of reviews that said they were late in shipping, but I've seen bad reviews for every company so don't know how good or bad they really are.

They are the only company I could find that would use the design with no problem (or so they say) and have blue kid shirts.

Will after the fact do? After the cruise, I would be willing to cut up one of my shirts for you. As it is, I ordered fabric but will need to use it to remake Bruce's shirt (smaller) so I can have his (smaller) and use mine to make the teddy bear shirts. I may also have scraps left before the cruise, but it's going to be a few weeks before I know, and HappyGoofy has already asked for a bit of that.

SO, this morning I bought a pattern for said shirt. Then I got the man to dig in his closet and find one of his old Hawaiian shirts that fit. He brought out two shirts - an XL, (which is what I ordered for him This time, that didn't fit.) The closet one fit beautifully. Then he tried on the L. It was a mile too big. GO figger!

:sad2: We had a friend who worked in a parka making factory. All the pieces of one size would be sewn the same day and the labels put in so that one day they make smalls, the next day mediums, etc. She said that the sewing machines trimmed the edge, sewed the seam and bound off the edge in one pass through the machine. Her pile of trimmings was small at the end of the day and other girls had huge piles--every seam was cut as it was sewn. That meant that while the pieces had started the same size and the tags were labeled the same size, the jackets were not. :confused3

I found different colored Mickey head buttons for my shirt. Also my tailor is embroidering a tee shirt to match. I can't wait to see what it looks like!

Can you post a picture of the embroidered T?

And a close ups of the buttons? Where did you locate them?

Where did Val get the coconut buttons?

Snowing in Utah yesterday, last night and today. Suppose to warm right back up though, back in the 60's later in the week!

Linda....please keep your snow in Utah....I'm am sitting here in my shorts and tank top...seriously considering taking the cover off the air conditioner to put it on....I did have the a/c on in the van driving home from work (before I am criticized for not opening my windows, I was told by my driving instructor (many years ago) that a single woman in a vehicle should always keep her windows closed and use the a/c in the summertime so that when stopped at a stop light no one can enter your vehicle or reach in and steal your purse)

I'm taking own booster seats anyway, because we will need them for rental car after the cruise...so I'm ok with Super Shuttle.

That is very thoughtful!!! I think they will be thrilled and I will be happy to keep your secret!! :woohoo:

Friday it was almost 80 here in Las Vegas, Sunday 52.
But we have not had much winter here so I won't complain. I really hate cold weather.

Gee what a good idea....Is it too late for me to reduce my age a wee bit and sign up???? Ok, maybe reduce the age a wee wee bit more:lmao:

We've bought coconut buttons in Hawaii at the fabric store - big help I know.

We've also gone to the thrift stores and bought Hawaii shirts with buttons we liked and just cut the buttons off - cheaper then buying from the fabric store, if you can find them here. So the ones I used yesterday I cut off a $3 shirt I got at the Salvation Army. The warm brown looks really nice with the blue shirt.

Can you tell me how long a drive is it to Vegas from Disneyland? Have you done it?
We have never been there...mainly because my daughter and I both have asthma and smoke kills my breathing...but in the back of our mind we are thinking about driving there after we recover from cruise at Disneyland :rotfl: and just spending the night so we can "see" the neon and maybe visit the flamingos. We are heading to SF to spend a few days with my best friend- who will be with us in Disneyland..but may be able to bribe her to take the long way home :cool1:

Thanks for the info, I have taken them off the list.

Well, how many are you talking about? My daughter is a CM and she signs autographs all day long, and she does almost every character, so I could talk to her and see if she would be willing to do them. She could also personalize them for each kid. If she will do it, you would just need to send pillowcases to Utah so she could do them before we leave.

260 miles from Anaheim to the Las Vegas Strip, about 4 hours depending on how fast you drive the interstate, or as I call it the "speedway" between Victorville and Las Vegas. People drive it pretty darn fast.

Oh ME TOO! Only I'd have to reduce the age A LOT!

I really -- really -- wanted this one for the Champagne girls T but am trying sooo hard to be good (at least until Hawaii):lmao::lmao:

That's Adorable! you can make your own with a hot iron transfer for colored Tees and a 5 dollar shirt from Michaels Crafts.

She is NOT kidding! We used to live in Victorville. Let me just say - don't do it on Friday afternoon, lol.
