April 27, 2013 Wonder 5-night

Hi everyone! We are just joining you all on this sailing (thanks to KSF) last minute change to our vacation plans because it was such a good deal. We are a party of 5 Myself, DH, DS (11), DS(9), DS(7)

This is our second cruise, our first being a Dream Double Dip in March 2012. On that cruise we had an awesome Facebook group (private one) that we set up prior to the cruise. It was a great way to get to know everyone before, share tips and ideas on a more personal level and maybe set up some meet n greets, like enjoying sunrise breakfast/coffee together ect.

Would you guy be interested in setting up a group like that? I can make the page. (and la good way for who is organizing the FE list to communicate too)

Hi, there are 9 of us going on our 1st Disney cruise. Here is who is going:

Myself, my 11 yr old daughter, my mother (who has gone on other cruises before, just not disney)... My BFF, her husband, 17 yr old son, 15 yr old son, 10 yr old daughter and her mother. We are looking for any tips, tricks, or ideas for making this a time to remember...

We are so excited about the upcoming trip and don't want to wait until the last minute to figure out what needs to be packed, done, etc.

I set up a private FB group for us. You just need to request to join...if anyone wants to help be the admin - great

No one outside the group can see the posts so a great way for us to get to know each other before we sail.

I did not scroll all the posts but is someone coordinating a FE? The FB group is a great way to coordinate that too and arrange meets ups?

On our Dream cruise last year we came up with a creative name for our group and a creative person came up with a "logo" and we made magnets for our door. Super fun!

Can someone please tell me what all of the abbreviations stand for....I see FE, DD, DS, etc and am so confused....I really don't need anymore confusion before the cruise...lol....we just added my mother in law to the cruise so we now have a party of 10 going on this cruise...getting so excited...

There is a sticky thread at the top of each board called disboard basics, inside that item you can find a link to a page showing abbreviation you will find on the boards.

FE fish extender
DD dear daughter
DS dear son


The fish extender refers to a set of pockets hung from the fish ornament outside your cabin that people can leave you messages or gifts. You really need to find one of the threads with pictures to really understand these.

Wonder april 27 2013 will be our 1st EVER cruise, An with disney at that
me my husband and 10 month and 6 yr old sons will be going and would love to find my 6 yr old a friend he loves animals and may do the dolphin discovery in cozumel but deff wants to snorkel he loves swimming. We are driving all the way from ohio to miami to enjoy our 1st cruise

Hello to all the recent joiners. I will be cruising with my BFF to celebrate our 40th birthdays. We are leaving our kids and our DHs and having a girls' vacation. We are not planning to participate in the FE, but might be interested in any meets that get set up. It's coming up fast now!

Last time we cruised on the Wonder we had the meet at 2:30pm in the Promenade Lounge which worked out great. I think the lounge is a great place and works out well no matter what the weather is! A meet is a great way to make connections with your fellow disboard refugees.

2:30 would be great. We have the first boarding time so will be ready to meet and greet any time.

And, I have totally changed my mind about the FE since last night. I'm feeling all excited about doing it. I just have to make a new one since the last one was a Halloween one with my DH and my kids.
