Making our way back home from our fabulous Hawaii cruise, but wanted to stop in and say we booked this cruise.

Great to have another Dis'er on board! I really need to start researching, but at 300 days out, i'm trying NOT to drive the family crazy!

Thanks! We're really excited, I need to get planning soon also, but I'm afraid it's going to have to wait as we're just to busy with other things right now.

I have to say it's a bit of an adjustment getting used to how quiet this thread is after that crazy "Stop, too many posts, I can't keep up" thread we had for the Hawaiian cruise. But, I am looking forward to having things a bit more laid back. We've never been to any of these ports, so this is all totally new for us.

Just got off the Magic 8 day Bahamas Cruise out of New York. It was amazing! Booked this cruise for next year! We loved the FE's too! It was so much fun, we also had a facebook page and made a lot of friends! It will be my dh, ds 11y , dd 8y, my mom, and me!!! Yeah!

Just got off the Magic 8 day Bahamas Cruise out of New York. It was amazing! Booked this cruise for next year! We loved the FE's too! It was so much fun, we also had a facebook page and made a lot of friends! It will be my dh, ds 11y , dd 8y, my mom, and me!!! Yeah!

I just realized, I didn't properly introduce ourselves. Traveling with me will be DS(17), DD(10), and my sister. We may be adding others, but that's not set yet! We've never been to any of these ports, so we're very excited to be doing something new. We're traveling down to meet my sister in Texas, and after the cruise we're going to go to New Orleans for a couple of days.

Aboard! Had a friend just get off the Magic out of New York too! Maria? She handled the FE's and they had a FB group too. Was this your cruise? Yay...now we've got 3 families...

Not sure if I ever did either...but it'll be my dh, myself, 24dd, and 13dd. Would love for my ds to come along, but he's busy working...(hate it when they grow up)..And we're probably headed to Baton Rouge first, and then to Galveston...so this could really be an adventure for us...NEVER been to Galveston before.

I hope no one takes this the wrong way. But, I'm really hoping we don't have a FB page for this cruise. We had one on the Hawaii cruise and it made scheduling, coordinating, and conversations so much harder as there was 2 mediums. We had a number of people that don't participant/belong to FB, and it just made everything harder IMO.

Not taken the wrong way...but can I give my take on our cruise? We did have a FB page and it was wonderful!!! Sure, some folks didn't have or join the FB thread, but any info that was relayed on the FB page was also directed here on the Dis. I guess it's whatever you make it?

I am sorry that yours didn't work out well, and that it made it harder. I guess as time passes, someone will be 'in charge'.. I don't feel like I can, as I don't have a 'clue' how to set up a spreadsheet, and we're still not absolutely definate, so I would feel bad if I signed up to lead this meet thread information and set up anything, and then had to cancel.

Feel free to lead the way, if you want!

Can't wait to really start planning!!

The Wonder and Magic are so much like home. If anyone picks up the Lead on the FE Please add the Foster Family - We are booked in Cabin 8520 traveling is myself - DH Brian, DS Eric 23 & DD Kristie 20.

I'll hold out on leading the FE's (since I don't know how to do a spreadsheet), but maybe I can figure out how to start a list on who's cruising...lol. No guarantees, I'm not really computer savvy.

But glad to see y'all coming! My 24dd will like that there are other young adults along!

In the past I have had to PM my information to the Spread Sheet Keeper - Not sure why becuase mostly everyone on the thread is traveling and has access to the thread but I am open to all suggestions. Also everyone will need to vote on a closing date: I don't know how everyone feels about a 45 day before the cruise close of the FE list. For me our FE's are custom made and the last minute additions really throw a wrench in the planning and count. Please give all suggestions

Ok...lol, this chik has a question and a comment. First, how exactly do you access this spread sheet? I know this might be a 'dumb' question, but I tried to go into it and change our name (ie: from sullin5 to Sullins5) and can't figure out how to do it. I'm laughing because I'm sure it's easy peasy, but I don't have a clue.
And as for the comment, you might want to check with those you've listed. Not sure if every one will want to be included in the FE's. I know last cruise, we had some that opted out.
And as far as the closing date? I think 45 days out is great! That's exactly what we wound up doing last cruise..we sent out a few reminders as the time wound down and it was perfect.
Thank you for 'heading' this one up...as you can see, this chik still can't even access this spreadsheet, so how would've I had started it?

Us too! So I do hope to do some 'investigating' as to who has done what, when and where. I don't have a clue as to what to do any of these ports..

Shore Excursions in Grand Cayman is know for the swim with the Sting Rays & Costa Rica you must do the Zip Lines. Now if anyone has any suggestions for Key West this is the very first time for us to stop in Key West - I am really excited about this port. We have done all the ports in the carribean and never stopped in Key West.

Thanks for the helps! Saw the spreadsheet and tried again. Got my name in it.. I'll wait for I add everyone else's until we know that we know that we are definitely coming on this cruise!

And am definitely keeping this for the info on the excursions! Would love to do the zip lines, and even the Sting Rays (read somewhere that this was better than at CC). I saw a biking tour in Key West, which sounds fun, but haven't done any more checking. I'd love to see lots of places here and biking looks like a fun way to see lots and maybe shop and eat too!
