Hi! This will be our first Disney Cruise and I'm just learning about the FE and I think we want to join. Can you tell me how it works? Do you buy gifts for everyone on the list? Thanks!

Hi and welcome!! The FE is all personal preference really. Some people give to everyone, some people make one "cabin gift" for everyone in the family. Some are handmade and some are store bought. Totally up to you. You hang your FE outside your cabin door on the Fish (although it could be a seahorse or turtle etc) and then sometime during the cruise the exchange happens. There is no set day or time, its whenever you want to deliver yours. It is supposed to be an extra fun thing to happen during your cruise and not to create any stress. Just have fun with it! Please don't hesitate to ask and more questions, especially if I've confused you!

Just saw this! We are from the New Hampshire Seacoast area! Every time we book a late April vacation I think "but will I really need a vacation then??", but mother nature is making sure I REALLY don't like winter this year here. . Hi! I thought we had set a cut up date for the fe groups. we are 20 days away from cruising. Don't wanna sound like a party crasher but me personallu can't keep adding families tomthe list at last minute. I'm crafting everything im not even half way and now i see that after the date that we agreed we keep adding more families, i won't be able to complete my fe gifts if the list keeps growing at last minute.

Hi I am sorry to say, we did have a cut off of April 1st. And like pitcuca121 I make mine too and I just won't have time with that many added. I can suggest you do it between your two families. The kids will enjoy it. And if it is just your two families, you could do something small for each child everyday. Again I am sorry, but I won't have time or space in my luggage.

Thanks anyways for considering to let us join though, I know there's a lot of members between both our families so like me who would also be handcrafting the gifts know the pressure Anyway, your suggestion of doing it between our families is a great idea, but since both our families know each other already, we were kinda hoping of meeting new ones on the cruise and make new memories for both the kids and us I really don't have any idea that Disney cruise has this thing called Fish Extender, the day (april 3) that I signed up was the day that I get to know about this kind of event, and that's when I read of the deadline! So just hoping if the families could be flexible. Thanks for trying to accommodate us! Have fun you guys, looks very exciting!!! Hope to meet some of you though!
